A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesman said their firefighters had treated the man before transferring him to Ambulance Victoria.

It is the latest incident involving a crane collapse in Melbourne after a large piling rig from a neighboring construction site crashed through the roof of Frankston Hospital in south Melbourne on November 22.

The collapse of the platform, which is used to create foundation columns, occurred around 10 am and caused significant damage to the building.

About 50 people, including the hospital’s psychiatric ward, were reportedly evacuated.
