The shocking moment when a boy has to come to his mother’s aid after she threw herself into a furious street fight in the street was caught on camera.
The footage, shot on Sunday in the Melbourne suburb of Heidelberg, shows a woman stopping at an intersection.
She was then seen getting out of the car before kicking the vehicle parked next to her.
That then led to the male owner of the car she kicked rushing out of his vehicle.
However, in a tragic turn of events, a young boy, presumably the woman’s son, rushed outside to prevent the man from confronting his mother.
The footage, shot in the Melbourne suburb of Heidelberg on Sunday, shows a woman stopping at an intersection, getting out of her car and kicking another vehicle.
The boy was seen standing between the man and his mother with his arms spread out to block them both.
The man eventually pulled the boy aside before checking his car – while the woman continued to scream abuse.
According to the witness who filmed the fight, the woman yelled at the man from her window “for a while” before the video began.
The man apparently urged the woman to get back into her car while her son continued to try to calm the tensions.
The witness said he had filed a report with Crimestoppers.
The images circulated Aussies online, with some quick to praise the boy and others critical of the mother’s anger on the road.
‘That poor child. You can tell he was terrified, yet he jumped out to protect her,” one wrote.

One Aussie described the woman’s actions as “f**king outrageous.”
“This is a sad and rightful woman who put herself and her child in a dangerous situation that she has escalated. Fortunately, both men had a calmer demeanor,” another added.
