Three police officers desperately tried to drag the man from behind the wheel of the car, but he could not be stopped
The man then turned on his engine and repeatedly crashed into the two police cars parked nearby, backing up and moving forward several times.
Three police officers desperately tried to stop the man and even sprayed capsicum spray on the driver whose door was open.
They also tried to drag the driver out of the car, but he could not be stopped and instead drove out of the parking lot.
Police later found the Commodore, which had no number plates, abandoned about five miles away in the Reservoir. It has been seized for forensic examination.
The man’s whereabouts are being investigated.
No police were injured in the altercation, but a police van suffered moderate damage, as did a civilian’s car.
