A massive explosion has rocked Melbourne’s northern suburbs, with video showing a flash of light just before 9pm.
Residents in the Doreen and Mernda area who heard the explosion claimed it may have been a meteorite.
Surveillance footage from the home shows a man in his driveway startled by the loud bang.
“That was fucking loud, our whole house shook,” someone posted online.
“Maybe a meteorite?”
Another wrote: ‘Okay the huge explosion wasn’t how I expected it to go tonight! What the hell was that?!”
