Wild scenes on Virgin Australia plane at Melbourne Airport as man is escorted
A man has been arrested in dramatic scenes on a Virgin Australia plane in front of shocked passengers just before the plane was due to take off.
The incident happened on board the domestic flight that was ready to depart from Melbourne Airport on Tuesday.
Australian Federal Police officers were called aboard the plane following reports that the passenger was allegedly behaving aggressively and disruptively.
Confrontational images, filmed by a fellow passenger, show how the man is approached by the police.

A male officer instructed the man to “get off the plane,” before the man said he was just sitting in his seat, ready for the flight to take off and that he had paid $5,000 for the flight.
A female officer warned the man that he could be arrested if he did not follow orders.
The man, who refused to get up from his seat, was given another warning to follow instructions before the male officer tried to physically force him out of his seat.
“I didn’t do anything man, I’m so relaxed,” the man said.
The male officer then repeatedly asks the man to “stand up” before threatening to use his Taser.
“I’m going to stun you with the taser, are you ready?” the officer said.
“You need to get off the plane now.”
The man then demanded to know what he had done before being physically removed from his seat and escorted from the plane by officers.
An AFP spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that the flight crew had requested assistance from officers.

“AFP officers arrested a male passenger and removed him from a domestic flight before departure for alleged aggressive and disruptive behaviour,” the spokesperson said.
“The AFP continues to investigate the incident.”
A Virgin Australia spokeswoman declined to comment on the “ongoing police matter”.
However, it is unclear where the flight went on Tuesday, several Virgin flights flew to all capitals.
