Mystery as bodies found in Lennon Parkway, Derrimut and Auburn Memorial Park in Sydney

Investigations are underway in both Melbourne and Sydney after bodies were found in suburban parks overnight.

An injured man was found on Lennon Parkway, Derrimut, in Melbourne’s west at 4.20am on Saturday.

“Emergency services performed CPR on the man but he died at the scene,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

‘The exact circumstances surrounding the incident have yet to be determined and a crime scene has been established.

‘Detectives from the Homicide Unit will also be on the scene.’

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage, or has any other information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

In Sydney, emergency services were called to a park on Rawson Street in Auburn after an unconscious man was found at around 6.50am on Saturday.

Officers from the Auburn Police Area Command arrived on the scene and performed CPR on the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, but he could not be revived.

The man has not yet been officially identified.

Police have established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
