Heartwarming moment Aussie boy, 8, launches a WILD party with his teammates after getting a hat-trick – earning him a comparison to a legendary bowler
Some legends were made early on and little Sammy Amery cemented his name in cricket folklore at the tender age of eight, having recently broken through the opposition lineup.
The eight-year-old was playing cricket under 10 for Melbourne’s Langwarrin Cricket Club on Friday when he scored his first hat-trick – with all three wickets thrown clean.
He then started the kind of celebration you would normally see when a country has won a World Cup or Test Series.
There is a false start as the excited youngster appeared to tear in after claiming his first two wickets before being ordered by the umpire to go back to the top of his goal as the batsman was not ready.

Unmolested, Sammy marched back before turning on his heels and storming back inside with iron determination.
The rest is in the record books. The ball landed in the center stump, leaving the batsman in shock as Sammy ripped into the outfield to celebrate lavishly with his teammates.
He ran after him with outstretched arms and his mates before sliding into the sand and raising his arms in glory.
In fact, his teammates then lifted him high into the air to celebrate his stunning catch.

It was a moment that Sammy, the club and all the parents present will remember for a long time to come.
‘That’s great Sammy! I love the party,” one parent wrote.
“We have the best team, the support of all the kids towards each other is amazing,” said another.
‘Little legend, Sammy! Loved the party!’ added one more.
The moment was so great that it was even shared via Cricket Australia’s social media account.

Some cricket fans compared the young player’s celebrations to Pakistani-born former South African international cricketer Imran Tahir.
Tahir, 43, played 20 Tests, 107 One Day Internationals and 38 T20 Internationals for his country and was known for his lavish wicket-taking celebrations.
He was also a fixture in the Indian Premier League with stints at Delhi Daredevils and Chennai Super Kings.
Tahir retired from international cricket in 2019, but it is still available for franchise T20 cricket, last in line for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.
