A plane has made an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport after reports of smoke billowing from the cockpit.
More than a dozen fire and rescue trucks waited for the REX Airlines plane on the runway at Tullamarine Airport.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the incident was caused after smoke billowed from the cockpit.
“The plane landed safely and taxied over the runway,” she said.
