Melanie C lives up to her Sporty Spice moniker as she shows off her washboard abs for a solo performance at Camp Bestival

Mel C put on an energetic performance as she took the stage at Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle in Dorset on Sunday.

The Spice Girl lived up to her sporty moniker for her solo performance when she showed off her washboard abs while wearing an orange crop top with a plunging neckline.

Singer Melanie, 49, wore black track bottoms adorned with a multicolored design featuring shapes such as eyes, hearts and zigzags.

The pop star completed her look by wearing a pair of comfortable white sneakers.

Her tattoos were on display, with her “angel” ink visible below her navel, her cross on her left arm, and a band on her upper right arm.

The performer was seen waving her arms in the air as she performed in an attempt to infuriate the crowd and keep them entertained.

This was Melanie’s second festival appearance of the week as she sang on day two of Kendal Calling at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District on Friday.

She wore a black and white Lacoste tracksuit for the event, with the star taking off her jacket to reveal a matching bra top.

The ensemble showed off her tight stomach again as she jumped across the stage.

She took to Instagram after her performance and wrote, “I’ve waited years to play @kendalcalling, today I finally did.

“Words cannot describe what it felt like, what an incredible day.

“Thanks for having me and for the wonderful audience, it’s sooo good to be back up north.”

It comes after Melanie’s Spice Girls bandmate Victoria Beckham said she would not be reuniting with the band at Glastonbury next year following recent speculation.

It was rumored that all five members of the group would reunite for a headline slot at the Worthy Farm festival in 2024 to mark the group’s 30th anniversary.

But a source close to Posh Spice insisted she would rather focus on her fashion label.

However, 49-year-old Victoria does not rule out a separate ‘celebratory performance’ with bandmates Geri Horner, Mel B, Melanie C and Emma Bunton, although she will not necessarily sing.

An insider told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: ‘Glastonbury may be the coolest gig in the world, but Victoria won’t be doing it next year.

“She has built a career as a fashion designer that she put blood, sweat and tears into, so singing is something she needs to think about.

“She has unfortunately been greatly ridiculed when she sang in the past.

“She’s a different person now. She looks back fondly on her years with the Spice Girls – they were very special to her – so she wouldn’t rule out a party one day.

“And Glastonbury doesn’t want the group without Posh at all, it just doesn’t have the same appeal.”

Victoria will take part in a documentary created by Star Wars director JJ Abrams that will tell the story of the group’s rise to fame in the 1990s and feature interviews and unseen material from their personal archives.

The star did not join the Spice Girls on their UK tour in 2019 and confessed that her choice not to join took a lot of “courage”.

Victoria told Vogue, “It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one to say, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to.'”
