Melania Trump is known for her classic style, including a fresh blow-dry and a rounded French manicure.
However, the former First Lady revealed a surprising style change during a formal dinner at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
The former model was on hand to support her husband, Donald Trump, 78, when he hosted Akie Abe, the widow of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, 62, on Sunday.
“It was a privilege to host Ms. Akie Abe again at Mar-a-Lago,” Melania, 54, posted on X (formerly Twitter).
“We took great pleasure in remembering her late husband, former Prime Minister Abe, and honoring his remarkable legacy,” she told her 3.1 million followers.
In the photo she shared, Melania appears to debut a brand new nail shape, featuring long claws with a tapered tip in a wintery shade of white with a metallic tint.
In the past, the incoming First Lady has always been photographed with a white-on-white French manicure, which was reflected in her often placing her hand over her heart during official appearances.
She has even been seen with a matching French pedicure on her toes.

Trump told The New York Times that at a dinner at the G20, he sat “next to Prime Minister Abe’s wife, who I think is a great guy, and she’s a great woman, but she doesn’t speak English.”
After the NYT reporter asked, “Zero?” Trump responded: “Like, not ‘hello.’”

London-based hairstylist Julia North confirmed to DailyMail.com that she appears to be wearing ‘tape-in or beaded-row extensions’.
“You can see the telltale signs where the natural hair meets the extensions, especially visible in the mid-sections,” the hair extension specialist revealed.
