Melania Trump was at her husband Donald Trump’s side at the State Funeral Service for former US President Jimmy Carter on Thursday in a modest funeral suit.
Melania, 54, accompanied the president-elect to the ceremony at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC
The incoming first lady wore a black dress with an oversized, dramatic white collar with an abstract black and white design.
Her husband’s outfit was more subdued, as he wore his usual black suit and a blue tie.
Melania’s long hair, which some speculate is due to extensions, was pulled back into an elegant updo.
The former model is known for her classic style and has a penchant for designers such as Versace, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana.
On Instagram, one woman shared photos from the ceremony and praised: “Elegant. Royalty. Thank the Lord for our Regal First Lady, make sure to tag Melania who has 2.4 million followers.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans praised Melania’s fashion choices.

“I love our Melania, her hair is pulled back in a modest form and sits modestly so as not to distract any attention from Jimmy Carter,” cheered one Trump supporter.
‘Melania is stylish as always. Donald is in his element,” another X user praised the incoming first couple.
‘Melania is so poised and elegant. With respect for being a church,” another user said of Trump’s third wife.
However, a few people on social media were confused by the collar, comparing it to The Handmaid’s Tale and something a Quaker woman would wear.
After President Carter died on December 29 at the age of 100, Trump shared an official statement.
Trump said, “The challenges Jimmy faced as president came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans.
“We all owe him a debt of gratitude for that.”
“Melania and I are deeply thinking of the Carter family and their loved ones during this difficult time. We urge everyone to keep them in their hearts and prayers.”
