Melania Trump demands answers to the mystery behind Donald’s assassination attempt: ‘There is definitely more to this story’

Melania Trump posted a new video on Tuesday questioning the role of police in the attempted assassination of her husband Donald Trump.

She indicated that the whole story was not being told and hinted at a conspiracy, saying that “there is more to it” and that “we need to find out the truth.”

“The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrific, stressful experience,” she said in the 10-second video she posted to her social media accounts.

“Now the silence around it feels heavy. I can’t help but wonder why the police didn’t arrest the shooter before the speech. There is definitely more to this story. And we need to find out the truth,” she added.

The video ends with a shot of her upcoming memoir, “Melania.”

In the video, the former first lady, 54, is dressed in black and speaks to a black screen behind her, with ominous music playing in the background.

“There is absolutely more to this story. And we need to find out the truth,” Melania Trump said of the attempted assassination of her husband Donald Trump

She released the video on the day of the debate between Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, as Republicans in the House of Representatives formed a task force to investigate the July 13 attempt to assassinate the former president.

It’s unclear what the assassination attempt has to do with Melania Trump’s book, which is due out Oct. 1. She announced her memoir about two weeks after the assassination attempt, and it’s unclear whether she will address it in the book.

Several questions have been raised about the attempted assassination and how shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to climb onto the roof of a building within Trump’s line of sight.

There are also questions about what role the Secret Service played in relation to local law enforcement and whether the two agencies communicated well that day.

The gunman fired at Trump from about 450 feet (137 meters) away, from a rooftop that was near the outdoor gathering but outside the venue, meaning Trump did not have to go through the usual screening process that attendees of the gathering undergo.

It is unclear why the Secret Service did not secure that area and why it took so long for agents to respond to the shooting. Trump was hit by a bullet, causing his ear to bleed.

After the attack, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said her agency had failed to protect the former president.

“The solemn mission of the Secret Service is to protect our nation’s leaders. On July 13, we failed,” she said.

She would later step down as head of the agency.

Donald Trump has said the incident had an “impact” on him, describing it in detail during his speech to the Republican National Committee.

Melania Trump did not attend the rally in Butler, Pa., where the assassination attempt took place. She released a statement afterward expressing her love for her husband.

Her book, simply titled ‘Melania’, will be released on October 1st. It will be available for pre-order on Amazon for $30.

She is selling two editions: a $150 collector’s edition with 256 full-color pages, with each copy signed by the author. The memoir edition will be 304 pages and available for $40 with signed copies available for $75.

Many biographies and books have been written about the former first lady, but this is the first time she tells her story.

It’s unclear whether she’s worked with a co-author or whether she’s going on a book tour.

After the Trumps left the White House in January 2021, Melania Trump remained in the background.

She has not been heavily involved in her husband’s 2024 White House campaign.

She attended his campaign announcement and the Republican National Convention, where, unlike other candidates’ spouses, she chose not to address the delegates.

She has not yet appeared at a campaign rally.

She also missed the first presidential debate and has done everything she can to distance herself from her husband’s legal troubles.

She organized two fundraisers for Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative LGBTQ group.

It is not yet clear whether she will be present at the debate on Tuesday evening.
