Melania Trump admits Donald doesn’t always listen to her as she shares marriage secrets ahead of inauguration

Melania Trump, 54, has come to terms with the fact that her husband Donald, 78, will not always follow her advice.
The former first lady is preparing to return to the presidential residence later this month and shared some of her marital secrets Monday morning while discussing her now-filming documentary.
She also distanced herself from Trump’s views, emphasizing that she has her “own thoughts” and opinions separate from those of the newly elected president.
Melania assured viewers that it’s okay if spouses don’t always see eye to eye.
“Maybe some people just see me as the president’s wife. But I stand on my own two feet – independent,” she revealed. ‘I have my own thoughts. I have my own yes and no.’
‘I don’t always agree [what] my husband [is] say or do, and that’s okay,” Melania admitted.
But honesty is also the cornerstone of a good marriage, according to the incoming first lady and former model.
Melania is Donald’s third wife. This year the two are celebrating their twenty years of marriage.
The couple share one son, Barron, 18, who is in his first year at New York University this year and will not live full-time in the White House as he did during his father’s first term.

The 54-year-old former model and mother of one (pictured left) is preparing to return to the East Wing later this month and reprise her role as First Lady. This time, her son Barron (pictured right), whom she shares with Donald Trump, will not live in the White House full-time as he goes to college in New York.
“Can you tell him if you don’t agree?” Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt asked Melania about her relationship with the newly elected president.
“I give him my advice,” Melania Trump replied. And sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn’t. And that’s okay.’
On Inauguration Day, President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden only five hours to leave the White House, and for the Trumps to move back in after four years.
Melania says her days are filled with preparing for the move and making sure the decorations are in order before January 20.
She claims that most will remain the same, with a few changes, and admits that this time it is a lot easier because she is better prepared for how the transition will go.
The former and future first lady recently released an untitled memoir, which has been on the New York Times bestseller list for hardcover nonfiction for 13 weeks – since just after it was released to the public on October 8, 2024.
Now the mother of one is working on a documentary about her life in partnership with Amazon’s Prime Video.
Filming for the documentary, which will be released in the second half of 2025, is currently underway.
