Melania said to be lying low as indictment drama swirls in Mar-a-Lago

Melania Trump is keeping a low profile at Mar-a-Lago and is concerned about the potential consequences for son Barron if her husband is indicted, according to a new report.

While Donald Trump sticks to his usual routines, and some in his inner circle are energized by the prospect that an indictment could pump up his base, “Melania is lying very low,” Page Six reported Thursday, citing a source.

“She doesn’t come out for the dinners and events at Mar-a-Lago. He pretends everything is normal, but she hasn’t been social,” the person said.

‘She wants to get rid of it. She wants to protect Barron,” who is now 17, the person added.

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, and her husband, Jared Kushner, both former White House advisers, are also said to be keeping their distance after opting out of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump, meanwhile, is sticking to business as usual and was spotted carefree on Thursday playing a round of golf at his golf course in West Palm Beach.

The former president’s most ardent supporters have joined his cause after he announced he would be arrested this week while staging demonstrations outside his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach.

However, Trump’s prediction that he would be arrested last Tuesday fell through, and the grand jury in Manhattan was sent home next week at the earliest before a vote could be held on a landmark indictment against the former president.

The grand jury has heard allegations of hush money paid on behalf of Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign to a porn star who claims to have had a sexual encounter with him years earlier. Trump denies the affair and any wrongdoing.

The pause in the New York Grand Jury Room has sparked speculation among Trump and his supporters that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has suffered a setback in his case.

Trump claimed on Thursday that there was “utter disarray” in his office and demanded that Bragg drop the case.

In a post on his Truth Social platform Thursday night, he ominously warned of the “potential death and destruction in such a false accusation,” saying it would be “catastrophic for our country.”

Without mentioning Bragg, he called the prosecutor “a degenerate psychopath, that’s true [sic] hate the US!’

But in between issuing statements and posting to Truth Social, he also shared a photo of actor and supporter John Voight at the golf club’s driving range.

He was later seen in the afternoon in his signature red MAGA cap and white club polo shirt sharing some pointers with a pretty blonde in a short blue skirt.

Members Bob Curcio and James Tomasello formed the party. Trump also mingled with guests in the club’s grill area.

“Isn’t it appalling that District Attorney Bragg is refusing to do the right thing and ‘call it a day?'” he posted on his Truth Social platform later in the day.

He would rather charge an innocent man and create years of hatred, chaos and unrest than give him his well-deserved ‘freedom’.

‘The whole country sees what’s going on, and they don’t put up with it anymore.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (pictured Thursday, arriving at his office) will not convene the grand jury for the hush money case against Trump.

‘They’ve had enough! There was no mistake, no misdemeanor, no crime, and most importantly NO CASE. They spied on my campaign, rigged the election, falsely “accused, cheated and lied.” It’s HUMAN SLIDE!’ Trump added.

Security remained heavy Thursday outside the Grand Jury venue in Manhattan and Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

There was no explanation from prosecutors as to why the panel had not met on Wednesday or heard Trump’s witnesses on Thursday.

The grand jury is an investigative panel, meaning it hears other cases besides the Trump case. The jury does not meet on Fridays.
