Melania does maintenance in New York while Trump flies to Florida

Melania Trump spent Monday in a series of maintenance appointments in Manhattan, while Donald Trump traveled to Florida to prepare for his indictment in federal court.

In exclusive photos from DailyMail.com, the 53-year-old was seen leaving Trump Tower to visit a building that houses a John Frieda hair salon. She also went to the dentist and spent two hours in that office.

The former first lady wore a raincoat, sunglasses and black ballerinas as she headed to her appointments in the city, escorted by her Secret Service agents and driven in a large, black SUV.

While in New York, Donald Trump left his golf club in Bedminister, New Jersey to fly to Miami, where he is due to appear in federal court on Tuesday on 37 charges related to his possession of classified documents.

The 49-page indictment alleges the former president willfully lied to the Justice Department, got his lawyers to agree to his plan, and even bragged about having documents he knew he shouldn’t have .

Of the 37 charges against Trump, 31 involve classified and highly classified secret documents he kept after leaving the White House in early 2021.

A group of supporters in MAGA hats and waving banners lined up at the Trump National Doral hotel in Miami, where he was to stay overnight, to give him a hero’s welcome for his second indictment in three months. Local law enforcement say they expect up to 50,000 protesters at Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday.

Melania, on the other hand, remained calm.

Hiding behind her sunglasses and donning her trench coat, black Birkin bag in hand, the former first lady kept her head down as she slipped in and out of buildings.

She has not publicly commented on the latest charges against her husband.

And it’s unclear if she’ll be at his side on Tuesday night, when Donald Trump is due to speak about the charge at his Bedminister golf club, a few hours outside of New York City.

Last week, Melania Trump was spotted outside New York’s Trump Tower on the same day Manhattan was blanketed in smoke from Canadian wildfires to the north.

The sighting was the first in more than a month.

Although Melania has expressed support for his re-election — via statement — and appeared at his presidential announcement on Nov. 15, she has not attended a campaign event since.

In the few times they’ve been seen, it’s been behind closed doors in Bedminister or Mar-a-Lago, their private members’ clubs.

She was also spotted in Mar-a-Lago with the ex-president on Mother’s Day and on May 6 when she, her husband and their son Barron met boxer Mike Tyson.

The former first lady spent Easter brunch with the ex-president — and a body language expert told DailyMail.com that they spent more time together than “while they were in the White House” and showed a “desire to get even closer.”

That was after Melania was conspicuously absent when Trump invited the press to Mar-a-Lago on April 4 — hours after he was in court in New York after being charged with charges in the Stormy Daniels hush-money case.

The indictment was the first time a former president had been charged with a crime.

Daniels, a porn star, said her meeting with Trump took place in 2006, after he and Melania got married and after Melania gave birth to son Barron.
