Mel B was thrilled to celebrate her daughter Angel’s final exam results on Monday, four days after the results were announced nationwide.
The Spice Girls star, 48, who shares her daughter, 16, with ex Eddie Murphy, posted a series of videos and photos to her Instagram to highlight her joy.
In an accompanying caption she wrote: ‘Celebration of angels Amazing GCSE results…….Art school, here you come, yipeeee!!!!!’
Angel, full name Angel Iris Murphy Brown, looked shy in the video her mother posted as she walked down the road in a tense ensemble.
They then headed out for some Japanese food at the posh TADA restaurant in Leeds, along with Mel’s friend Rory McPhee, who flipped the camera to selfie mode for a sweet celebratory shot while Mel ate part of their meal.

Wow! Angel seemed embarrassed when she saw her mother’s delight
She also shared a clip of her walking to her car in a pair of sky-high white boots and wearing a form-fitting mini dress.
Mel did not specify what results Angel had achieved by revealing that she had achieved her goal of going to art school – much to her mother’s delight.
After the results were announced on Thursday, the top GCSE grades were revealed to have fallen by 4.3 per cent as numbers have returned to pre-Covid-19 levels. But Education Minister Nick Gibb defended the lower results, saying it is a “very fair system”.
Mel also has daughter Phoenix, 23, from her first marriage to Jimmy Gulzar, and daughter Madison, 11, from her marriage to Stephen Belafonte.
In 2019, Mel revealed that ex Eddie is “and always will be the love of my love.”
The singer expressed her regret over their acrimonious split and shared how she first met Eddie in her interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
She reflected on their turbulent 2006 relationship, marred by questions about the paternity of their unplanned pregnancy, but insisted he was her “soulmate.”
In her interview, Mel said, “We had something special that I’ve never really felt with anyone else. I thought I had it, but they lied. He was pure. He is the love of my life. He always will be.

“He showed me what true love feels like, and I have the greatest admiration and respect for him for that.”
Mel and Eddie first met at a party at his mansion in Beverly Hills in 2006. According to the Wannabe hitmaker, he planned a “big dinner party” to meet her.
When the pair first looked at each other across the room, Mel said she “freaked out” because he stared at her so familiarly that she could “see my soulmate.”
After some initial nerves on the first date, the pair hit it off within months of dating with talks about breaking the knot.
Mel said things turned sour after she got pregnant with Angel and that she fled to Leeds hoping Eddie would follow her to win her back.
But then the Shrek actor told a journalist in a TV interview that he wondered if he was the father of Mel’s unborn baby and would need a paternity test.
Mel said that to this day Eddie “regrets” saying it, and that the former couple “planned that baby together and we were madly in love” but things just “went dramatically wrong.”
Their relationship ended in December 2006, and by the time Angel was born in April of the following year, Eddie was engaged to film producers Tracey Edmonds.
