Megyn Kelly slams Taylor Swift for attending Ramy Youssef comedy night where proceeds were donated to Gaza charity described as ‘highly political’: ‘She owes Israelis and Jewish Americans an apology – and I hope they boycott her events’

Megyn Kelly condemned Taylor Swift on Tuesday for attending a comedy night in Brooklyn, the proceeds of which were sent to a Gaza charity.

Kelly said Swift, 33, should educate herself on Hamas or keep her mouth shut, stating, “You clearly don't know anything.”

And she mocked the singer for supporting the LGBTQ community and women's rights, as well as the Gaza charity.

“Do you know what they're doing to that community in Gaza, Taylor, that you want to support now?” Kelly asked.

'Do you know what Hamas likes to do to women? Do you think we have equal rights there, Taylor?'

Swift attended a Ramy Youssef show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Friday with friends including Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne and Zoe Kravitz.

Youssef, born in New York City to Egyptian parents, announced the proceeds of the last 12 nights of his More Feelings tour would go to the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

The comedian – who has been outspoken on calls for a ceasefire in the Middle East – said the charity is working to “provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.”

But Kelly ridiculed the charity.

Citing NGO Monitor – a group founded by an Israeli professor to combat anti-Israel narratives – Kelly said ANERA was “highly political, presented a very biased view of the Israeli-Palestinian war, ignored any Palestinian responsibility for hardship and contributed to the demonization of Israel.'

Kelly continued, “That's the group that Taylor Swift thought would be fun to raise money for, attend a fundraiser for, and she owes Israelis and Jewish Americans an apology.

“And I hope they boycott her events until she releases it because it was wrong to participate in this.” It was wrong.'

Swift and her team have yet to address the controversy.

But Gigi Hadid, a friend of Swift's whose father is Palestinian, responded to Youssef's post: “Legend.”

ANERA's website describes the group as a non-governmental organization providing assistance to the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Jordan.

The charity says it has 'no political or religious connections'.

Taylor Swift remains silent on the unfolding war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas – which murdered and kidnapped hundreds of Israelis on October 7. In the weeks that followed, thousands of people were murdered in Gaza.

The group was later joined by The Queen's Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy for dinner at a Brooklyn pizza restaurant, Lucali.

The celebrity hotspot in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood welcomed Paul McCartney the week after Thanksgiving, and Jay-Z during the summer.

It has also served David Beckham, Mark Wahlberg, Jimmy Fallon and Questlove.
