Megyn Kelly slams Target for launching transgender bathing costumes

Megyn Kelly slammed Target for launching “crease-friendly” swimsuits because women “don’t have penises,” while the retail chain pulls Pride displays after backlash.

Kelly, 52, has joined the wave of others who have taken offense at Target’s new pride collection, especially the “pleat-friendly” swimwear found in the women’s section.

‘[Target] decided to voluntarily partner with this clothing manufacturer to make pride month gear, including swimsuits that are “pleat friendly” and have extra material around the crotch, which no woman needs because we don’t have penises in the south of Rio, she said to her show on Wednesday.

“We don’t need extra material and we don’t need tuck-in-friendly ones, but Target’s CEO defends this saying, “Look, the extra crotch gear and the tuck-in-friendly bathing suits are important, that this whole line in the pride department is a good business decision. is the right thing for a society.”

Despite sharp criticism of the release, which also includes baby and children’s items, CEO Brian Cornell said Fortune’s Leadership Next podcast he endorsed the campaign.

“At Target, when we think of a cause, it’s really about helping all families, and that ‘all’ word is very important,” he said. “Most of America shops at Target, so we want to do the right thing to support families across the country.”

Kelly also denounced the company for partnering with Abprallen, who has made satanic clothing in the past.

“So Target turned to them to create their new line of clothing, including baby onesies with rainbow patterns, and at one point sell their Pride-related merchandise that read things like, we hear about the trans flag everywhere, too weird for here, transphobia doesn’t cure trans people and so on,” said the journalist.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has criticized Target for “selling out LGBTQ communities” after it pulled back some products from its Pride collection amid growing backlash.

In a tweet, Newsom went berserk, claiming that “black, Asian, Jewish” people and women would be “next.”

“Target CEO Brian Cornell selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists shows courage. These aren’t just some stores down south.

“There is a systematic attack on the gay community across the country. Wake up America.

“This doesn’t stop here. You are black? You are Asian? You are Jewish? You are a woman? You’re next,” he said.

California has more Target stores than anywhere else in the country with 317 – about 16 percent of all stores in the country.

Cornell’s comments came as he was called out for criticism the company faced in the wake of the rollout.

“I think these are just good business decisions, and it’s the right thing for society, and it’s the best thing for our brand,” Cornell said.

“The things we’ve done from a DE&I standpoint (diversity, equity and inclusion), it’s adding value.

“It helps us drive sales, it builds greater engagement with both our teams and our guests, which are just the right things for our business today.”

His comments come as some southern Target stores have reportedly been forced by the company to remove their LGBTQ merchandise from view as customers riot against the brand.

The Pride product selection includes a variety of clothing and homewares, including an adult lime green bodysuit with the word “gay” on the back and a mug with a label that reads, “Gender Fluid.”

The company was also criticized after the “crease-friendly” clothing was thought to be for kids as well, but a company spokesperson told the Associated Press that the swimsuits are only offered in adult sizes.
