Megyn Kelly called out White House interns who wrote an anonymous letter demanding President Joe Biden call for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas as “crazy leftists” and “brats.”
The letter, addressed to Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, was signed by 40 interns from the White House and other executive departments, who withheld their names — according to a copy obtained by NBC News.
Kelly, who is co-moderating the fourth Republican primary debate on Wednesday, called the letter “absolutely disgusting” on her SiriusXM show.
“This is what these crazy leftists have accomplished. Now you have interns demanding things from the president of the United States, who has been good enough to give them a position in the White House,” she said.
“These brave souls who, as I said, almost certainly got these jobs thanks to their parents' donations, did not put their names on the letter. They would like to remain anonymous. They want to be anonymous, called currants.'

The interns are calling for a halt to U.S. aid to Israel following the deadly Oct. 7 Hamas attack that killed 1,200 people, and Israel responded with airstrikes.
“We, the undersigned interns at the White House and the Executive Office of the President in the fall of 2023, will no longer remain silent about the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people,” the group said.
The interns identify themselves as Palestinian, Jewish, Arab, Muslim, Christian, Black, Asian, Latino, White and Queer.
The letter continues: “We listen to the voices of the American people and call on the administration to demand a permanent ceasefire.”
“We are not the decision makers of today, but we strive to be the leaders of tomorrow, and we will never forget how the pleas of the American people have been heard and, until now, ignored.”
“We were shocked by the October 7 brutal Hamas attack on Israeli civilians, and we are shocked by the Israeli government's brutal and genocidal response, funded by our American tax dollars, that has killed more than 14,000 innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza, a large percent of them are children,” the interns said.
There was a weeklong ceasefire in November that allowed the release of hostages, but Israel resumed its offensive on Friday morning.
Israel claimed Hamas had “violated” the ceasefire early and launched rockets into Israel before its expiry, with images shared on social media appearing to show attacks on the town of Sderot, close to the Gaza border .
Kelly's guest BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere questioned whether Hamas actually wanted a ceasefire since it was they who had violated the November agreement.
“Nobody ever seems to ask Hamas if they want a ceasefire. Everyone keeps advocating for it on their behalf, but they don't seem to want one at all, they want one from Israel.”
The interns said, “We argue that anything less than a complete halt to Israel's massacre of innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip simply will not suffice.”
“We urge the Biden-Harris administration to now call for a permanent ceasefire, the release of all hostages, including Palestinian political prisoners, and support a diplomatic solution that will end the illegal occupation and Israeli apartheid, in accordance with international law and for a free Palestine.'
Within minutes of announcing the resumption of conflict on December 1, Israeli airstrikes hit the Palestinian town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Biden administration was the first to offer paid internships in 2022. To qualify for the program, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program, have graduated within the past two years, or be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
Students accepted into the White House Internship Program will receive a rate of $750 per week for the 14-week session.
The $10,500 is paid out in two halves at the beginning and end of the program, although students who do not last to the end are liable for the cost of their unfinished time.
