- Former Fox News host turns to acting to provide voice in new animated series Adam Carolla on the Daily Wire
- Kelly, 53, says it's 'the most fun I've had all year' as she appears alongside Roseanne Barr and Candice Owens in a show that 'doesn't care who it offends'
Megyn Kelly turns to comedy with a voiceover role in a new Daily Wire “anti-woke” cartoon series.
The former Fox News host will ask the questions during Wednesday night's Republican primary debate, but will be dealing with a different set of characters in the animated series “Mr. Birchum.”
In a trailer for the show, Kelly squeals happily in her role as the title character's wife, alongside Roseanne Barr, Candace Owens and show creator Adam Carolla.
He revives his KROQ radio persona for the new series he based on his high school woodworking teacher.
“Mr. Birchum tries to find his way in a world he neither understands nor approves of,” the synopsis promises.

She's better known for her political reporting and conservative punditry, but Megyn Kelly said working on the cartoon was the “most fun I had in 2023.”
Comedian Adam Carolla has revived the character he based on his high school shop teacher
“He's confused by his gaming streamer son, Eddie, annoyed by his selfie-taking snowflake students, and constantly at war with the school district's appointed 'JEDI' (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion officer), the Mr Karponzi.'
Barr stars as 'sick and tired, wishing she was retired' Principal Bortles in her first scripted role since ABC fired her in 2018 over a racist tweet about Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett.
Tyler Fischer, Alonzo Bodden, Brett Cooper, Kyle Dunnigan, Danny Trejo, Patrick Warburton, Jay Mohr and Rob Riggle make up the cast of the show, which marks a first foray into series animation for the conservative channel.
“Adam Carolla created Birchum before Barack Obama killed comedy,” says Jeremy Boreing, who co-founded the channel with right-wing commentator Ben Shapiro.
“Of course Hollywood wouldn't make Birchum today because they've stopped making comedies altogether for fear of offending the 'wrong' people – so we realized we had to do it,” he added.
'We teamed up with Adam and some of the funniest people we know – Roseanne, Rob Riggle, Patrick Warburton, Tyler Fischer and many more – to bring back the irreverent patriarch in a truly hilarious comedy that doesn't care who he offends . '
The channel has already been on a roll with last week's release of “Ladyballers,” in which Boreing plays a down-on-his-luck sports coach who reunites his old male basketball team in an attempt to win a women's tournament.
“I'm super excited to be working with my friends Ben Shapiro, Jeremy Boreing and our amazing cast to bring Mr Birchum to life on the Daily Wire!” Carolla said.
