Biden’s disastrous press conference is compared to the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion by a guest on Megyn Kelly’s show.
Ben Shapiro called the president’s appearance Thursday “by far the worst press conference I have ever seen.”
His comments came a day after Biden’s gaffe-filled address to the nation on the Justice Department’s report on his handling of classified documents.
His tirade included a number of gaffes, including referring to the Egyptian leader as the president of Mexico after he angrily insisted that “memory is fine.”
“That was the Challenger explosion of press conferences. It was honestly by far the worst press conference I have ever seen,” Shapiro said.

Daily Wire editor said it looked like the ‘Challenger of the press conferences’, referring to the explosion that killed seven people
The heated exchange with reporters left Biden angry about the report’s findings and left the presidents of Egypt and Mexico confused.
The Challenger disaster was one of the deadliest in American spaceflight history and resulted in the deaths of seven crew members aboard the shuttle when it exploded during liftoff on January 28, 1986.
The cause of the spacecraft’s breakup was the failure of seals in a joint in the shuttle’s boosters, which occurred due to the record low temperatures on the morning of the launch.
‘I’ve been watching this stuff for over twenty years now, and obviously I’ve watched a lot of cassette tapes. That was terrible,” Shapiro added.
“Not only was it horrible, it was deliberate, which meant he didn’t have to do the press conference last night.”
Special counsel Robert Hur’s report confirmed that Biden would not be charged for keeping classified documents in his garage.
But it said that was because a jury would likely conclude he had “diminished faculties” and was a “well-meaning, elderly man with poor memory.”
During a hastily arranged press conference, an excited Biden insisted, “I know what the hell I’m doing!” My memory hasn’t gotten any worse. My memory is fine. Look what I’ve done since I’ve been president.’
“Nobody thought I could get through the things I was given. How did that happen? I guess I just forgot what was going on.”
His comments drew scorn from Shapiro, editor of the Daily Wire.
President Biden went after reporters, accusing special counsel Robert Hur of focusing on his memory in his report announcing the decision not to charge him over his handling of classified documents.
“The whole purpose of the press was to discourage Americans; the special counsel was right about his state of mind and his mental acuity. He doesn’t look like he knows what he’s doing,” Shapiro added.
“He starts out hot for maybe a minute and a half… What a complete disaster area for the president. And honestly, it’s hard to see how he survives this.
The media now actually have freedom of choice. We either have to openly report what is going on. And every day until the election there will be a question about his mental state.”
Biden was particularly angry when Hur included the claim that he could not remember the timing of his son Beau’s death.
‘It is even said that I cannot remember when my son died. How on earth does he dare bring that up? “I don’t need anyone, I don’t need anyone to remind me of his death,” the president said angrily.
“Honestly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it was none of their damn business.”
He also said reports of his “deliberate” retention of documents were “misleading.”
At one point he shouted: ‘I have not shared any classified information! I do not have!’
Shapiro let loose in the segment Friday night, calling the press conference “terrible” and the worst he’d seen in 20 years
The 1986 Challenger spaceflight explosion was one of the deadliest in American aerospace history, killing all seven crew members on board
Biden then answered a question about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
In doing so, he botched the identification of a world leader by calling Egypt’s Abdel Fattah El-Sisi the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The only question is whether the Democratic Party is so convinced that they can literally beat Donald Trump from someone who is mentally unfit, but that they decide to stick with him instead of throwing him overboard, or whether
