Meghan’s Renaissance look! Duchess of Sussex pays homage to Beyonce’s stage outfit in £445 sequinned skirt and £1,200 heels

Meghan Markle showed this weekend that she’s as much a fan of Beyonce’s fashion as she is of her music — after donning a shimmering skirt to attend the superstar’s Renaissance world tour in California.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, and Prince Harry, 38, were among thousands of fans who poured into Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Friday.

Meghan was the vision of glamor in her ensemble, which paid homage to the artist’s disco-chic album aesthetic, looking both sleek and fun.

The mother-of-two paired her £445 statement skirt, which eagle-eyed royal fans say comes from retailer SPRWMN, with a sleeveless white top.

It is also thought that Meghan wore Aquazarra’s £1,215.77 white and silver heels as she danced the night away.

She wore her auburn locks relaxed, keeping her makeup natural, as she enjoyed dancing along to Beyoncé’s latest album.

But Harry seemed less engrossed in the music when the pair were spotted in a private box, along with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Meghan’s Suits co-star and good friend Abigail Spencer.

The members of their group, including the Sussexes, wore silver to accommodate the singer’s request that her fans wear the color on her show.

Meghan was seen clapping and waving her arms as Doria, who celebrated her 67th birthday that day, danced along to the music.

However, Harry was seen with his hands firmly in his pockets or glued to his phone.

Earlier this week, the couple released their latest Netflix series, Heart of Invictus, which featured athletes preparing for last year’s edition of the games and Harry openly spoke out about his mental health struggles after returning from military service in Afghanistan.

They weren’t the only familiar faces to show up for Queen Bey’s performance, including Terry Crews, Taraji P. Henson and Shanina Shaik.

It’s not the first time the royal couple have crossed paths with Beyoncé, with Queen Bey picking up a Brit Award in 2019 for a portrait that shows Meghan as a regal version of the Mona Lisa.

In a post explaining why they’d decided to list Meghan, the power couple wrote, “In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congratulations on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.’

Beyoncé publicly praised Meghan’s bravery following the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah, in which the Duchess claimed to have been subjected to racist treatment within the royal family.

She had written on her website, “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

In one episode of their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex claimed to have received a supportive text from the star.

She told the camera crew, “Beyoncé just texted, checked in… I still can’t believe she knows who I am…” She said she wants me to feel safe and protected.

“She admires and respects my courage and vulnerability and thinks I’ve been selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”
