MEGHAN MCCAIN: The Megflix hit-job is three-hour temper tantrum of two entitled brats

>

I sat through three hours of Harry and Meghan’s new Netflix series, so you don’t have to.

Because my suggestion is: Don’t do it.

It’s an American-style political hit. As far as documentaries go, it’s rubbish: one-sided, vicious, and manipulative. As for the propaganda, it’s brilliant.

It could have been produced by a campaign operative, a dirty trickster, hired to attack his political opponent with focus group TV ads and sophisticated smears.

The message of the series is clear, as we have heard time and time again: the British are racists and Harry and Meghan are their victims.

The flight of the Sussexes to the US is framed as having to do with Brexit, the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. Academic David Olusoga, who says British culture is “full of racist imagery”, claims the country was essentially poisoned against the couple.

‘I wanted it to work, a lot of people wanted it to work. But the fairy tale is being embedded in a nation that is having a rather toxic debate about the European Union,” she says. “If you go back and look at social media at that time, immigration is at the absolute center of those debates, and immigration is very often in this country a number for race.”

I’m pretty sure Brexit fans would say they’re more interested in national sovereignty than outright discrimination, but that’s okay.

They could also take a page from Hillary Clinton and call half the British population ‘deplorable’.

Following logic is dizzying. But his point is clear. Harry and Meghan never had a chance. There’s no mention of the crowds of adorers cheering on the newlywed couple or Prince Charles walking Meghan halfway down the aisle. That doesn’t fit the narrative.

The gaslighting is constant.

Meghan repeatedly claims that she had no idea what she was getting into when she was dating Harry. She was just an innocent fawn in the meadow waiting to be shot down by the monarchy. On the other hand, Meghan is a smart and powerful woman in her own right. The supposed naiveté of her is absolutely incredible.

A big part of the series is reliving Harry’s admittedly traumatic childhood. Over and over, he talks about how he was exploited by the paparazzi and how growing up under the glare of the media still haunts him today.

All of this makes his foray into high-end ‘reality’ TV all the more bizarre.

Oh yeah, the Sussexes have gone full Kardashian.

They have been documenting their lives together from the get-go. There are photos of them and Princess Eugenie dressed up for a Halloween party shortly before their relationship went public. There are intimate photos from their trip to Botswana when they were dating. There are videos of them alone on the beach in Big Sur, California. Videos of their children, including Archie looking at a picture of Princess Diana on the wall and Meghan asking him “who is she?” Videos from inside her car, hotel rooms, and Meghan putting on her makeup.

The contrast is not just obviously hypocritical, it’s confusing. They want to exploit their fame, their family and the most personal moments they have for profit, while protesting the unspeakable burden of cameras and lights.

And it’s all so utterly narcissistic.

According to them, their life is the greatest love story ever told and nothing can compare to their bond. Keep in mind that these are not teenagers in love, they are elderly parents of two children.

Everything is shown through the lens of how they want the world to see them and their lives, and not how it really is.

There’s a big emphasis on Harry’s time in Africa. How he was ‘raised’ there. Meghan’s acting career is portrayed as if she is an Angelina Jolie-esque actress/philanthropist, a huge star on America’s biggest TV show, and at the same time the second coming of Mother Teresa.

There’s no mention of the crowds of adorers cheering on the newlywed couple or Prince Charles walking Meghan halfway down the aisle. That doesn’t fit the narrative.

Obviously, there is very little evidence to support these claims.

There are many comments that condemn the modern UK as ‘British Empire 2.0’, as if there has been no progress since the abolition of the slave trade. There is no rational historical perspective. No, the monarchy is as bad as it was 250 years ago.

Everything is so biased, unfair and destructive, but why?

Well, take it from someone who’s seen the political dirty game up close: Harry and Meghan’s real agenda is revenge.

This all seems fueled by Harry and Meghan’s appetizing anger and jealousy against the royal family and William and Kate in particular. To put it succinctly, Harry and Meghan just couldn’t make it as royals and now they’re attacking anyone who can.

It is the tantrum of two titled brats.

William and Kate are taking this royal life in stride and Harry and Meghan can’t handle being the ‘number 2’ couple. If they can’t use the crowns, no one else can, and they’re going to flip the game board.

Perhaps more than anything else, the series portrays William and Kate as willing participants in an ugly, racist and archaic system, and they should be ashamed of their current roles as royals and future King and Queen of England.

Why is it Will and Kate and not them? They are so super evolved, progressive, hyper-awakened. They must represent the future, not just of the UK, but of the world.

In the end, Harry and Meghan are exercising their delusions of grandeur and doing harm in the meantime. People can put this series down and say it’s just a stupid Netflix show based on two former royals. But there is the potential to break the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

America’s special relationship with our neighbor across the pond is a fundamental lynchpin of Western democracy. And this series points to that. Shame on Netflix for producing it.

If you didn’t know anything about the UK, what would you leave thinking? In the eyes of Harry and Meghan, the UK is an irredeemable hell.

What if the Americans believe them?

Fortunately, I don’t think this will happen, but his recklessness is jarring and infuriating.

Harry served in the British Army for ten years. Both claim to be global activists, but neither can look past their own hurt feelings.

Racism, the oppression of women, and human rights abuses occur all over the world. The United States and the United Kingdom, although imperfect, stand out as beacons of hope. It seems impossible that Harry and Meghan don’t recognize him.

But here we are.

I used to think that Harry and Meghan’s critics were exaggerating when they claimed that the Duke and Duchess were trying to bring down the British monarchy, but after watching 180 minutes of what can only be described as sick propaganda, I believe so.
