MEGHAN MCCAIN: Musk’s Twitter reveal proves Biden put his finger on scale before the 2020 election

Twittergate is nothing short of a scandal and it absolutely sucks.

On Friday night, journalist Matt Taibbi live-tweeted proof of what many people have long suspected.

Joe Biden’s political team lobbied Twitter to ban its critics and remove negative stories about the Biden family in the run-up to Election Day.

Now, it was one thing for the then-presidential candidate to mislead the American people in broad daylight, as Biden did on the debate stage in 2020 when he suggested that his son Hunter’s infamous laptop was a “Russian plant.”

But another thing is that his campaign team also does it in secret.

And that is apparently what happened. And we have the evidence, in black and white.

Taibbi, presumably fed with documents from the new head of Twitter, Elon Musk, showed us how it all happened.

“More to review from the Biden team,” read a redacted email, listing five Twitter accounts.

“Handled” was the response, which meant the accounts had been suspended.

It is still unclear what those accounts were tweeting. But a publication by conservative and actor James Wood was also attacked. He was reportedly tweeting photos of Hunter Biden taking drugs and having sex with unknown partners.

Taibbi also revealed a new perspective on how Twitter decided to censor the New York Post bombshell report on the Hunter Biden laptop in October 2020.

The Post report focused on evidence that Hunter, then a highly paid consultant to a Ukrainian energy company, introduced his father, then a vice president, to a high-powered Ukrainian executive.

The smoking gun email read: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving me the opportunity to meet your father and spend [sic] some time together. is a reality [sic] an honor and a pleasure.

As we all know, that report got the New York Post banned from Twitter and deleted from Facebook.

Twitter said they shut down the story because they allegedly suspected it was based on ‘hacked’ material, but as Taibbi revealed, even they didn’t believe it.

“They just did it on their own,” a former employee told Taibbi. “Hacking was the excuse, but within a few hours, almost everyone realized that it wasn’t going to hold up. But no one had the guts to reverse it.

Now pause here for a moment.

Imagine a world in which the roles are reversed.

What would my life be like if there were enough photos and videos to fill an entire ‘laptop from hell’ showing me engaging in a variety of lewd and illegal activities?

If only there were videos of me having sex on camera, measuring and smoking crack with hookers and brandishing guns.

Imagine if there was evidence that I was taking money from foreign adversaries and connecting them to influential members of the US government. And more than that, that my family may have been involved and was benefiting from it!

I think the people in the mainstream media would care. I think people on Twitter and at Big Tech would be a little bit interested, to say the least.

But the ugly truth is that there is no scenario where I would be covered the way Hunter and Joe Biden were covered, because I am a conservative and the media loves to smear conservatives and protect Democrats.

In his reporting, Taibbi, who is not a great friend of the conservative movement and has worked for some of the more liberal media outlets in the United States, makes it abundantly clear why this happened.

“Twitter was and is overwhelmingly staffed by people of a political orientation, there were more channels, more ways to complain, open to the left (okay, Democrats) than the right,” he wrote.

It’s obviously true and the Biden campaign obviously knew that, and they put their thumb in the balance to take advantage of that fact.

Democrats knowingly and actively sought to silence the views of ordinary Americans, big and small, because they knew they could and get away with it.

President Biden must answer for this.

Do you now regret how your campaign influenced the political debate in the last days before the elections?

Given what we know today that the laptop is real, and Hunter Biden has very real problems with law enforcement, does President Biden think that was ethical?

Do you think the behind-the-scenes influence of your campaign strengthened our democracy?

I doubt it. But he will never answer those questions.

We all remember that on a presidential debate stage in 2020, Biden suggested that the outrageous Hunter laptop was a “Russia plant.”

To date, there is absolutely no evidence that Russia, spies, or “disinformation” had anything to do with this.

The plain truth is that desperate and drug addicted Hunter dropped his laptop off at a repair shop and left it there.

After a period of time, the owner of the laptop store, shocked by what he found on the machine, turned it over to authorities and Trump campaign associates.

But still the truth could not come out.

Silicon Valley jumped in to censor a story that could do immeasurable harm to a Democrat ahead of an election.

Imagine again.

What if instead of Joe and Hunter, a laptop came up containing information about Donald and Donald Jr.

Do you think Twitter would have been wrong on the security side?

In fact, we don’t have to imagine this scenario at all, because we know that the mainstream media gladly published and reported on the fake Christopher Steele file.

That was not only false, it was faked. But it helped the cause of the Democrats, so it was deemed worth printing, tweeting, posting and broadcasting around the world a million times a minute.

This sad episode reveals, once again, that Big Tech, which has a stranglehold on discourse in the United States, is ideologically captured by the left and the Democrats.

There’s a line from Joseph Heller’s book ‘Catch 22’ that I often quote: ‘Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after you.’

Many times, conservatives feel that they are also being censored and lied to. We feel that our views are being suppressed and that powerful forces in this country are against us.

What are those conservatives supposed to think tonight?

The consequences of this remain to be seen, but you can only fool so many for so long. Americans are sick of it.

The grossly unethical business practices that helped put Joe Biden at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue cannot be ignored. Americans are fed up with the idea of ​​outsourcing control of speech from him to Silicon Valley.

Hunter Biden, on the other hand, is living his best life in Malibu, selling his art for more than $500,000 and taking celebrity turns at the White House.

I am not fooling myself. There will be very few ramifications for the people behind this behavior.

But maybe, with the help of Elon Musk, at least one Big Tech platform will reimagine itself.
