A former classmate of Meghan Markle shared a throwback to her time at Northwestern University.
The 39-year-old Duke and 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex were welcomed by Colombian Vice President Francia Marquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo after they arrived in the country on Thursday to begin a four-day tour.
But as the royal couple prepare to spend the final day of their trip in Cali, the birthplace of salsa dancing, it has been revealed that Meghan has been taking salsa dancing lessons at university.
A former classmate of the Duchess, Iris Amador, shared her nostalgic memories of the dance class on Instagram.
She captioned the nostalgic snap: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit Colombia including Cali, the salsa capital of the world, a dance Meghan Markle and I loved doing together as students. Salsa lessons with the future Duchess of Sussex at university!’

In the photo, Meghan looked stylish in jeans, paired with a black sweater.
Her brunette locks were tied into a chic bun and the future Duchess sat on the edge of the sofa with her classmates.
According to Colombia Travel, dancing has become a typical feature of Cali. Every year, millions of people travel there to learn to dance Cali salsa.
Many took to the comments to praise the Duchess’s versatile skills and to thank her classmate for sharing this beautiful memory.
One person wrote: ‘It’s so sweet that a former student from the same year as Meghan at Northwestern can share this incredible memory. We know Meghan is good at salsa dancing. I’m comforted by the fact that she has an incredible sense of rhythm and impressive ease in moving her hips. I would love to see her continue to evolve in Colombian music.’
Another said: ‘So many great details are coming out about Meghan and it’s all good. She was a really private person.’
They continued: ‘So glad her circle of friends and acquaintances respect her privacy and only come out occasionally to show what a dynamic person she is. This has been a glorious, triumphant journey for the Sussexes. I hope they get an invitation to the Caribbean soon.’
Meanwhile, another wrote: ‘How sweet of her to share this! Maybe they’ll meet again someday and catch up!’

It looks like Meghan got to put her dancing skills to the test during her trip to Colombia.
Meghan was filmed dancing enthusiastically at a special cultural event yesterday.
Prince Harry and Meghan were treated to theatre, music and dance performances at the Delia Zapata National Centre for the Arts in Bogota on their first day in South America.
During the theater performance, a clip went viral showing Meghan dancing with locals.
And it looks like Harry was getting into the lively atmosphere too as he bounced back and forth between the sidelines and watched his wife show off her impressive dance moves.

The prince seemed in high spirits, clapping his hands and beaming as Meghan joined the dancers in the centre of the room.
The royal couple were treated to a colorful theater performance of the play ‘The Kiss of the Hummingbird’.
Harry watched as the costumes, including the multi-colored headdresses with feathers and exotic birds, were explained to him.
At the end of the performance, Harry and Meghan shook hands with the dancers. The Duke said to one of them: “These costumes are amazing.”
Harry is known for taking part in royal tours, and in 2012 he was spotted dancing enthusiastically in Jamaica.
The then 27-year-old royal proved he had a remarkably good sense of rhythm when he danced to a version of reggae legend Bob Marley’s One Love.
Meanwhile, in 2013 he was filmed trying to master the traditional dance in Lesotho.

Meanwhile, Harry couldn’t resist a little wobble as he met children on the second day of his trip to Colombia.
Dancing was on the agenda again: Prince Harry was filmed having a dance party.
As with their other engagements, Meghan and Harry were accompanied by security guards carrying bulletproof briefcases to protect the couple from potential gunmen. At every event they attended, the guard was seen jumping out of a vehicle in front of the couple, holding the collapsible shield.
He was also visible on Friday morning, but his presence did not seem to bother the prince. During the engagement he began to wobble.
Video footage from the event shows the father of two showing off his best dance moves, bending his knees, wobbling his hips and rolling his shoulders and arms.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan took part in an art session and planted trees during their visit to La Giralda School today.
They also visited the school’s ‘social and emotional gym’, where students learn mental and physical exercises to balance their mental health and personal well-being.
Students showed the bride and groom their personal meditation techniques and presented them with gifts and handwritten letters.
Harry and Meghan posed for photos with the youngsters, dressed in traditional clothing.
The school is located in the Santa Fe neighborhood of Bogota, a neighborhood known as a particularly dangerous and violent suburb.
Also known as the red light district of Bogota, this area is known for its deadly mix of prostitution, drugs and violence. According to locals, it is best to avoid this area at night.
It was featured in the Apple TV series No Go Zones – The World’s Toughest Places and was described as an area where “Colombian gangsters and pimps rule the roost and all manner of homeless people and addicts find their way to the wastelands of Bogota.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were escorted to a school under heavy guard by at least 16 armoured police cars, with armed officers and soldiers also on patrol before they arrived.
The visit to the school, which is overshadowed by run-down apartment blocks and several slums that cling to the nearby hills, comes despite Harry’s concerns about its security measures during his visit to the UK.
