Meghan Markle wears a $168 Ralph Lauren shirt and $1,059 aviator sunglasses in a selfie with TV host Jen Su and the American socialite mother and daughter after the group bumped into each other in LA.

Meghan Markle once again proved her fashion skills when she stepped out in Los Angeles this week.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, ‘bumped into’ a TV presenter on Thursday night and posed for a selfie in a car park.

Opting for a relaxed Californian look, the Duchess of Sussex wore a $168 Ralph Lauren striped linen shirt and $1,059 aviator sunglasses from British brand Linda Farrow.

Adding to her chic ensemble, the gorgeous mother-of-two sported glamorous make-up and wore her hair in a sleek updo.

Meghan shared the ‘super friendly’ chat and selfie in California with the pop star turned TV journalist known for her work on the red carpet.

It came just hours after it was revealed that she and Prince Harry will head to New York for another royal-style engagement.

Meghan looked happy as she stood with the three women on Thursday night, with one saying the mother-of-two was ‘down to earth and super friendly’.

The selfie was with broadcaster Jen Su, a big name in South African TV and radio who rose to fame after winning Taiwan Idols – a Taiwanese version of Pop Idol – and releasing four albums. Since then she has been a regular at celebrity events, reporting and appearing on the red carpet.

Miss Su shared the photo on Instagram, stating: “We landed in LA and on our way to dinner, bumped into Meghan Markle. Totally low key and super friendly, nice conversation.

Madison also shared the image with the simple caption: ‘Which one is the real duchess?’

The meeting came shortly after it was announced that Meghan and Prince Harry will return to New York City in mid-October for the Archewell Mental Health Summit, the foundation’s first in-person event.

Multiple sources have claimed Meghan is ready to announce a new project – insisting it’s not a reboot of her lifestyle blog The Tig. It comes after the Sussexes’ lucrative Spotify deal was dramatically pulled. Ms Markle has been much more visible on the LA scene recently, including two nights seeing Beyonce.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be in the Big Apple on October 10 for the event, five months after their ‘near-disastrous car chase’ through the city.

The event specifically invited parents who have experienced a loss due to or related to their child’s social media use.

“The families have engaged with The Archewell Foundation over the past year, strengthening the community and moving towards solutions,” a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told PEOPLE.

“Together, they are united in their mission to share personal experiences, data and research to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen to other families,” they said.

Meghan and Harry will also be joined by US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy to discuss mental health on a panel hosted by Carson Daly.

The pair — who are no strangers to advocacy work — were in New York in May for the Ms. Foundation Awards. Women of Vision, where Meghan was honored.

A statement from Sussex’s spokesman called the incident a “near-disastrous car chase at the hands of a very aggressive paparazzi ring”.

The spokesman said the couple, as well as Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, were the victims of a ‘relentless chase that lasted more than two hours’.

It has been suggested that they were trying not to be followed where they were standing on the upper east side of the city.

The NYPD later told NBC that they did not believe the chase was “close to catastrophic.” They described it as “a bit of a chaotic scene”.

Julian Phillips, New York’s deputy public information commissioner, also revealed that the NYPD ‘assisted’ the couple’s private security team.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams expressed sympathy – describing the paparazzi’s actions as ‘reckless’ and ‘irresponsible’ – but said he would find it ‘hard to believe’ there was a two-hour high-speed chase high.

It is unclear how long Meghan and Prince Harry will stay in New York City for their next visit, but they will be in the city for World Mental Health Day on October 10.

According to PEOPLE, the couple will participate in a conservatory about social media, mental health and how to empower and uplift others.

The summit as a whole is part of Project Healthy Minds’ Second Annual World Mental Health Day Festival, which addresses the mental health crisis.

The subject is near and dear to Meghan and Prince Harry, who have been open and honest about their mental health struggles in the past.

On the Archetypes podcast last October, the Duchess of Sussex discussed her experience of getting a referral to see a professional when she was at her ‘worst point’.

“I think at my worst point, I finally connected with somebody that, you know, my husband had found a reference for me to call. And I called this woman,” Meghan said.

“She didn’t know I was even calling her. And she was checking out at the grocery store. I could hear the little beep, beep, and I said, ‘Hello’ and I’m introducing myself and that you can literally say you’re going to, wait, excuse me. I’m just Who is this? Um, and saying I need help. And she could hear the terrible state I was in,” Meghan said.

“But I think it’s for all of us to be really honest about what you need and not be afraid to make peace with that, ask for it,” the Duchess of Sussex recalled.
