Meghan Markle was ‘starstruck’ and ‘squealed’ the first time she laid eyes on Victoria Beckham, an old friend claims – amid reports the Sussexes have been feuding with Posh and Becks
Meghan Markle was “starstruck” after she first met Victoria Beckham in 2013, TV presenter Lizzie Cundy claimed, amid reports that the Sussexes and the Beckhams have broken up.
Ms Cundy, from the UK but now living in LA, claimed she was at a party with Meghan Markle the first time she saw Posh Spice, which caused the Duchess to ‘scream’ with excitement.
Amid rumors that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been feuding with David and Victoria, who were guests at their 2018 wedding, Cundy added that she believed Meghan had “manipulated” Harry into believing the Beckhams had royal stories leaked.
Messages came in Sun on Sunday that Harry, 38, had confronted the ex-captain of England and suggested he or his wife, Victoria, were responsible for leaks about himself and Meghan.
David Beckham, 48, is said to be “absolutely damn furious” over the allegations made during a phone conversation, with the two couples keeping their distance from each other ever since.

Lizzie Cundy, 55, who first interviewed Meghan, 41, in 2013 but hasn’t spoken to her in years, told the New York Post: ‘I think Victoria and David tiptoed off slowly, just like the other friends. Many friends who went to the wedding have tiptoed away from Meghan.
“These are real big family people, there’s no way Victoria leaked stories.”
The presenter also claimed that Meghan was impressed with Posh Spice the first time they met – which was the same time Ms Cundy first met the Duchess.
She told the New York Post that Meghan “screamed” when she first met Victoria at a party in 2013.
The Beckhams attended the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2018, but the couple’s relationship has since cooled, according to reports
Meghan was so excited to see Victoria Beckham. She said, “Oh my god, that’s Victoria Beckham!” Ms Cundy added.
She claimed the Duchess was a “really big fan” of Posh Spice, and recalled thinking Meghan should “be calmer and cool” after seeing her for the first time.
Cundy also said she believed Meghan had “manipulated” Harry into believing the Beckhams leaked the stories, which she says is a wild theory because of how famous they are.
Meghan befriended Victoria and David after she began dating Prince Harry in 2016, with the world-famous couple attending the Duke and Duchess’ wedding in 2018.
But the Sussexes were notably absent from Victoria and David’s eldest son Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding last year.
They also missed David’s soccer event this month attended by Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams.
