Meghan Markle trades in her stilettos for a $760 pair of Hermes flipflops and breezy linens as she joins husband Prince Harry for his Netflix polo shoot in Palm Beach – one day after she was mocked for her impractical on-field attire

Meghan Markle traded her stilettos for $760 Hermes slippers and fluffy bedding one day after she was mocked for her impractical on-court attire at a charity polo match in Miami, Florida.

The Duchess, 42, was spotted in Palm Beach this weekend as she joined her husband Prince Harry for his new Netflix show about the chic world of polo.

She ditched her elegant white summer dress and sky-high stilettos for a more casual outfit for Saturday’s shoot, donning a light blue linen button-up shirt and breezy white trousers.

Her ensemble was completed by matching cream Hermes Oran flat sandals, which cost $760 on the French designer brand’s website.

The day before the Saturday sighting, Harry and Meghan were the main attraction as they attended a charity match during the Royal Salute Polo Challenge at the swanky Grand Champions Polo Club.

The couple appeared relaxed and at ease and were joined by close friends and a dozen Netflix film crew for the new production.

The Prince cut a demure figure in black jeans and a gray T-shirt, but his arrival was betrayed by a Netflix film crew who were on hand to capture his interactions with the impressed players.

He joined the Valiente team behind the scenes as they prepared to take on Coca-Cola Saturday at the National Polo Center.

The couple mingled with onlookers and smiled for photos before Harry saddled up to take on a team led by his dashing Argentine friend Nacho Figueras.

Meghan was spotted leaning on a friend’s shoulder before giving their daughter a loving hug.

The carefully choreographed event raised money for the Sentebale organization that the Prince co-founded in 2006 to help children fight HIV in Africa.

It was also a chance to start filming for Harry’s new documentary which offers ‘unprecedented access to the world of professional polo’, one of two new projects the Sussexes have in the works.

Meghan was joined at the $1,600-a-ticket event by her close friend Serena Williams, and dressed to impress as she donned an $800 dress by Californian designer Heidi Merrick on Friday.

The royal, which the designer has worn before, paired the flowing white summer dress with a statement bow and cut-out back with a $3,300 Maison Valentino bag.

Surrounded by her camera crew, Meghan took a risk with sky-high heels on the lawn – much to the dismay of online critics who claimed her choice of footwear was ill-suited for the occasion.

While Harry took part in the match in his regular polo attire, he arrived at the event hand-in-hand with the Duchess in a fresh summer look.

He opted for cream trousers, a light gray jacket and a light blue shirt, while slipping on some loafer brown shoes.

A camera crew followed the couple’s every move as Harry scored a goal and then took to the stage to receive the trophy – and a tender kiss from Meghan.

They were at it again on Saturday when a dozen crew members arrived at the US National Polo Center to get into position to film a US Open quarterfinal between the Coca-Cola and Valiente teams.

The new show is produced by Miloš Balać, the Emmy-winning filmmaker behind Ryan Reynolds’ sports documentary Welcome to Wrexham.

The Prince was flanked by two security guards in plain clothes, but he appeared relaxed and engrossed in the pre-match team talk before the two sides took the field.

Harry was joined on the sidelines by Nacho, the pair watching with interest as the crew sent a drone to capture aerial footage of the match.

The prince was very interested in the production side of things and viewed parts of the images on a monitor.

He paused to pet an adorable Jack Russell dog and make a video call, passing the phone to Nacho to say hello.
