Meghan Markle stuns fans with a glimpse of very pricey items in the background of new Netflix lifestyle show

Meghan Markle has started the new year with a bang by releasing a beautiful trailer for her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

The trailer, shared on her new Instagram, shows the Duchess cooking in a beautiful kitchen. In the short clip, Meghan can be seen picking produce from a garden and chatting with very famous friends, including Mindy Kaling and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

The video gave viewers a glimpse into the ex-working royal’s decked-out kitchen, including some of the luxury – and expensive items – Meghan, 43, used.

In one go, the mother of two served a caprese appetizer beautifully made to resemble ladybugs.

Sitting on small pieces of bread, the ladybugs – whose bodies were made of baby tomatoes with tiny black dots and olive heads – sat on a bed of mozzarella and leaves.

They sat on a beautiful blue floral patterned plate, believed to be the Blue Peony plate Earth and Elementst, a women-owned ceramics studio in Los Angeles. Plate prices start at $40 for each bread plate and $70 for a dinner plate.

In another shot, a beautiful salad bowl sits atop the beautiful island bench.

The bowl resembles a bowl from Astier de Villatte – a line of ceramics made in Paris from black terracotta clay finished with a distinctive milky white glaze.

The website states that each piece is handmade and will include unique variations, such as the large Adelaide Salad Bowl retails for $345.

Meghan also served guests a dessert similar to Eton Mess, with strawberries, cream, mint and a berry coulis.

She serves the pink candy in an old-fashioned ice cream bowl, with similar versions on top Crate and Barrel for an affordable $3.95 per cup.

Meghan posted the trailer to her Instagram account and wrote, “I’m so excited to share this with you guys! I hope you love the show as much as I love making it.

‘Wishing you all a fantastic New Year! Thanks to our amazing crew and team. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun!’

She signed off: “As always, Meghan.”

Netflix describes the series in an official synopsis: “In With Love, Meghan, we join Meghan in the kitchen, the garden – and even the beehive – as she prepares to entertain friends both old and new.

‘Meghan shares some of her favorite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting and more, revealing how even the smallest details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, bring people together.

‘Whether it’s preparing gifts for guests or adding edible flowers to breakfast, it really is the thought that counts.’

Meghan says in the trailer: “I’ve always loved taking something very ordinary and taking it to the next level, surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking about them.

“I’m going to share some little tips and tricks and how to apply these practices every day.

“This is about connecting with friends… We don’t strive for perfection, we strive for joy.”

The Duchess is known to have many star-studded friends; one of them is The Office writer Mindy Kaling.

Kaling, who is presented with a piece of Victoria Sponge cake, appears in a clip in the trailer: “What! This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life.”

Meghan’s announcement comes a day after she made a dramatic return to Instagram with a video of herself smiling on the beach at Montecito.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared her first clip on Wednesday, New Year’s Day, on the humble Instagram account @meghan.

The new video caused a stir online as tens of thousands of people followed the account within minutes.

The profile has long been rumored to be hers after the account was created in June 2022 but remained empty. She then teased fans again in 2023 when she declared that she was “getting back on Instagram.”

The series will be released on Netflix on January 15.
