Meghan Markle is ‘encouraging Prince Harry to leave the past behind and move on’ because she sees his ‘brooding’ as a ‘waste of a life’, royal expert claims

According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle would ‘encourage Prince Harry to put the past behind him and move on’.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond praised the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex, of Montecito, for urging her husband to look to the future.

“If Meghan is encouraging Harry to put the past behind them and move on, then I think it’s a healthy move. They’ve made their decision, to leave the working royal family and leave the UK,” the royal expert said. OK! magazine.

She continued: ‘Dwelling on past injustices and reliving old fights is a waste of your life, and I think Meghan realises that.’

The couple moved to California in 2020 with their son Prince Archie, as they stepped back from being working royals. Princess Lilibet was born a year later in 2021.

“This is what Meghan and Harry always wanted: to create their own life,” a royal insider said. PEOPLE ‘It must be a huge relief to leave the UK and follow your own path.’

However, in his revealing memoir, Prince Harry admitted that he misses some of his old family life, as Bond explained.

She said: ‘In his book Spare he writes about his fond memories of some of those family gatherings, so it makes sense that he now misses that connection and may still be thinking about ways to repair the damage done over the years.’

But the royal expert suggested that Meghan likely believes their time within the royal family is now “definitely” a thing of the past.

Harry’s friends in the UK have also spoken out about the Duke’s dissatisfaction. According to them, not everything went ‘as he wanted’.

According to The Timesone of Harry’s ‘oldest friends’ who ‘gets the occasional WhatsApp from him’ said: ‘He’s an angry boy. Things haven’t gone his way. I think he misses being here [in Britain] “I would really like to be admired more.”

In their December 2022 six-part Netflix series, Harry said of his and Meghan’s move to California, “We are exactly where we need to be.” But then the duke added, “I miss the UK.”

Could a reconciliation be on the horizon now that Harry has indicated he wants to restore relations with his family in the UK?

After it was announced earlier this year that King Charles had cancer, Harry quickly returned to the UK to be with his father, but their meeting reportedly lasted less than 45 minutes.

“The fact that I was able to get on a plane and visit him, and spend time with him, I’m grateful for that,” he said on ABC’s Good Morning America a few days after the visit. “Every illness, every disease, brings families together.”

But it could be a long road to reconciliation for Harry, as the Duke’s previous revelations in his memoirs and during his Netflix series may have caused irreparable damage.

A source close to Charles explained The Times: ‘The problem for the King and other family members is that they are afraid that if they have a chat with Harry, it will appear in part two.

“How do you get trust back? I don’t think Harry ever can. But from the conversations I’ve had with the King, I would never say that their relationship is irreparable. The King’s capacity to forgive his son is undiminished.”
