Meghan Markle is “preparing to launch a major new commercial venture” that is “real for who she is,” reports claim.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, who currently lives with Prince Harry in her $14 million mansion in California, has stepped up her performances in recent months, most recently at a Beyonce concert in LA on Sunday night.
And now sources are claiming that Meghan is about to announce a new project — insisting it’s not a relaunch of her lifestyle blog The Tig.
According to The Telegraph‘s Victoria Ward, the project will be authentically Meghan, while her “imminent return to Instagram is definitely connected to it.”
Last month, it was reported that Meghan is getting ready to relaunch herself on Instagram and experts predicted she could earn a million dollars per post.

Insiders also claimed that future projects for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will reflect their different professional interests and talents and will be the result of much reflection on their future direction and career.”
A source claimed, “They are both working on their own stuff. They fully support each other’s concepts and ideas, but they differ from each other, they have different meanings.’
The Duchess, whose last account with husband Prince Harry, @sussexroyal, had 9.4 million followers before being deactivated in 2020 when the couple retired as senior Royals, is said to be behind a new account called @meghan.
Adorned with an image of pink peonies, reportedly Meghan’s favorite flowers, a source close to her team confirmed this week: “Yes, she is. Expect an announcement very soon. She’s coming back.’
The story is already being followed by several of Meghan’s friends, including activist Mandana Dayani, who was president of Archewell, the Sussexes’ media and philanthropic company, until last December.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: “Everyone in Hollywood is talking about the relaunch being imminent. Meghan has never made it a secret that she wants to return to Instagram.”
Prior to her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, Suits actress Meghan’s personal Instagram following number exceeded three million, while tens of thousands of fans signed up for her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
Meghan first revealed she was planning to return to Instagram in an interview with The Cut last year, in which she told writer Allison P. Davis, “Want a secret? I’ll be back on Instagram.’
The Duchess’s “new” account already has 76,000 followers and experts say it could be a huge boost to her finances.

Eric Schiffer, a social media expert who advises the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars, ex-Disney actress Bella Thorne and cast members of the American version of Dragons’ Den, said: “I don’t think the return of Meghan to Instagram will surprise everyone.
“She has a new talent manager and this is the next logical step.
“I expect she will quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram. You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can earn $1 million (£790,000) or more from a single post promoting a product.
There’s no reason why Meghan couldn’t earn this kind of compensation.
“As the Duchess, she must be careful not to be seen as marketing every product under the sun. She will join quality brands and companies aligned with her political and social beliefs.”
Each new project from Meghan comes after a turbulent few months for the couple, after their lucrative Spotify project was dramatically shut down after they spent three years producing a 12-episode podcast and celebratory special.

United Talent Agency boss Jeremy Zimmer criticized Meghan in June, saying: “It turns out that Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any talent.”
The couple also reportedly failed to produce enough content to receive the full payout from the reported £18 million deal they signed after stepping down as senior working royals.
But an Archetypes production source claimed that Harry and Meghan “had a lot of ideas and pitched them” — though the project was delayed by massive amounts of red tape between the two parties and “things were moving very slowly on both sides.”
The source reportedly said last month: “They weren’t given a formal lease on the land to kick things off, so they were on a shaky footing before the ink was dry.”
