Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding cocktails revealed: Prestigious private club that catered couple’s reception shares the hilarious name behind one of the tipples
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a selection of cocktails at their wedding, including one with a hilarious name in honor of Prince Harry, a new Channel 5 program has revealed.
On tonight’s episode of Kensington & Chelsea: The Royal Borough, airing at 9pm, insiders working on the royal wedding shared a special inside look at the booze-goers who enjoyed the 2018 occasion.
One drink, aptly titled Who Ya Callin’ Ginger, seemed like a humorous reference to the groom’s hair color and was made with tequila, lemongrass, ginger and kaffir lime leaf.
Another cocktail, called California Dreamin’ – likely a tribute to Meghan’s hometown, as this was before the couple’s big move abroad – contained tequila, lime, pineapple, corriander and Habanero.
And it seems the Sussexes love the Mexican-origin spirit, since one of the third drinks mentioned was a classic Margarita: tequila, agave, and lime juice.

Mark, general manager of private club Mosimann, whose family has provided bespoke catering services for several members of the royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, described how Meghan and Harry worked with chef Clare Smyth to create a bespoke menu to create for their wedding.
There were even some Port Wine Gums on offer, made with Taylor’s 1984 port from Harry’s baptism.
“They were some of Meghan’s favorite dishes from the restaurant,” he told the program.
“So they had a potato and fish roe starter, roast chicken for the main, and strawberry lemon verbena for dessert.”
And he revealed that the Sussexes valued their services very much.
“We were even invited to a small reception at Kensington Palace to say thank you for being involved in the wedding,” Mark added. “So it was a nice gesture.”
Details of the evening’s celebrations at Frogmore House revealed that guests – including George and Amal Clooney and Sir Elton John and David Furnish – spent the evening sipping bespoke cocktails, feasting on ‘dirty burgers’ and cotton candy from outside stalls and dancing on a trendy terrace. DJ.

It was, say insiders, ‘the party that ends all parties’, with a carnival atmosphere in the grounds of the 230-year-old mansion, which once belonged to George III.
From ‘naughty’ speeches from Harry’s boyfriends and a toast from Meghan to sixties soul songs, an extravagant fireworks display and personalized slippers handed out to guests in high heels, the newlyweds pulled out all the stops to make it an evening to remember . .
Prince William is said to have said: ‘My brother is clearly in love. Being in love is like a little boy getting himself wet. You don’t know you’re doing it, everyone knows it and it gives you a warm feeling.’

There were even roles for the couple’s A-list guests, with Luther actor Idris Elba reportedly DJing and actor James Corden performing a raucous part as compere.
But it was actually a party in two halves, with many of the older guests leaving around 10:30pm – and the younger revelers staying on into the wee hours, before moving on to an even more exclusive after-after party in central London.
Sources said the festivities ramped up as King Charles – the Prince of Wales at the time – who organized and paid for the evening, and other senior royals bid farewell, while Harry’s friends dutifully waited to share embarrassing stories about the prince’s playboy past.
Guests reportedly even played “beer pong” – a drinking game popular in US colleges where players have to bounce ping pong balls into cups of beer, forcing their opponents to leave the drinks where the ball lands.
