PID is a common condition, although it is not clear how many people in Britain suffer from it.
If diagnosed early, PID can be treated with a course of antibiotics, which usually lasts 14 days.
Megan reached out to her followers in September and asked: ‘Which of my queens has ever suffered from pelvic inflammatory disease?
‘I’ve never heard of it, but I think it was my first experience. I have never had so much pain or fever. The past 5 days have been hell.
‘If you have any good Essex/London gynecologists, please let me know if you have any tips or solutions for the pain and to prevent it from happening again.’
