Meet my mega French bulldog who weighs as much as a small deer and could be the biggest in the WORLD
Meet Frankie, the French bulldog whose size causes a stir wherever he goes.
Weighing in at a whopping 26kg, Frankie is as heavy as a small adult deer, and his owner, Danielle Myers, believes he could be the largest French bulldog in the world.
The five-year-old dog is a real eye-catcher, with people stopping Danielle in the street to marvel at his enormous size.
Danielle, who lives in Eccles and works in the travel industry, remembers noticing Frankie’s unusual size when he was just a few months old.
She remembers how he had big legs and was “very tall,” but it wasn’t until he continued to grow that she realized her furry companion was something truly exceptional.
Frankie is now a regular attraction, with Danielle saying it’s impossible to walk him without attracting attention.
At 26kg, Frankie surpasses other well-known large French bulldogs, including an Australian dog called Diaz, who weighs 22kg and hoped to be crowned the largest in the world.
Despite Diaz’s claim to fame as Australia’s biggest Frenchie, Danielle now thinks Frankie could be the one to take that title.

Since French bulldogs typically weigh between 9 and 12 kilograms, Frankie’s size is far outside the norm.
Danielle remembers that Frankie was the “fattest piece” of his litter, the one who wasn’t initially chosen.
She remembers visiting him with her family, and while the other puppies were playing, Frankie sat quietly watching them.
His early weight gain didn’t surprise her, but his rapid growth in the following months did.
By the time Frankie was nine months old, he was already growing taller and heavier, and Danielle found herself wishing he would stop growing.
She told the Manchester Evening News: ‘He had an ear infection so I took him to the vet; it was the heaviest he weighed: 26 kg.
‘I thought, ‘Let me see how big the biggest French bulldog is’, the Australian bulldog weighed 22kg and the other one in Newcastle weighed 24.6kg.
‘It wasn’t until he was about nine months old that he started getting tall and gaining weight. I thought, ‘Please stop growing!'”
Despite his enormous size, Frankie is described by Danielle as a ‘big softie’ who loves nothing more than to curl up for a cuddle.
He forgets how big he is when he tries to sit on Danielle’s lap, and his affectionate nature makes him a beloved figure in their neighborhood.

She gushed: ‘He’s a typical Frenchie, he’s got all the features. He is all muscular and about the size of a Staffie.
‘He’s abnormally big, but he doesn’t think he’s big, he thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s a big softie and a real cuddle bear.’
People in Salford, where the family live, often recognize him when they are out, and children even shout his name in the street.
Danielle says that although people always ask what she’s feeding him, Frankie isn’t on any special diet; he just eats standard dried food.
There is no secret behind his extraordinary size, which Danielle describes as ‘unnaturally large’.
Frankie’s size has become such a talking point that even when Danielle is away on business, people continue to admire him.
Although there is no official record for the largest French bulldog, Danielle’s father has urged her to contact the Guinness World Records, and she is seriously considering nominating Frankie for the title.
“Everyone with a French bulldog is amazed when they see him,” Danielle said, and it seems Frankie’s fame only continues to grow.
