Meet the viral 6’7, 340-pound 16-year-old football player who has sent fans wild and sparked a college frenzy
A 16-year-old high school football player has gone viral after footage of him taking the field left fans stunned.
Immanuel Iheanacho won’t graduate from high school until 2026, but at 6-foot-4 and 340 pounds, the teen is already being pursued by colleges.
Iheanacho, a junior at Georgetown Preparatory School in Baltimore, Maryland, is a five-star recruit and ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the class of 2026 by 247sports.
And the hulking tackle has attracted attention for his stature alone, after images of him were shared on social media.
NFL fan account Dov Kleiman shared a video of Iheanacho strolling onto the field dressed in uniform, which promptly drove football fans wild.
Many social media users were in disbelief at Iheanacho’s size, with one posting: ’16 years old? No, that’s a grown man.’

“Are you sure he won’t graduate from college in 2026? Man, this is a giant,” echoed another stunned user.
“He was also the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year… as a lineman,” a third added.
Despite still earning his high school diploma, NFL fans were getting excited at the thought of Iheanacho joining the league.
“Can start for the Cowboys today,” one said, before another asked, “Can Pats call him up now?!”
Before NFL teams come calling, though, Iheanacho must select a college program — and he has no shortage of options.
Oregon and Georgia would currently be the frontrunners, but the Ducks may have the edge.
“I like coach Terry (Oregon’s offensive line coach), coach Dan Lanning, a very young coach, they’ve won games and have product, Penei Sewell and there’s a few other guys coming in this draft,” Iheanacho said To3.
But that doesn’t mean Georgia is out of the running yet, with Kirby Smart’s ‘Dawgs’ nipping at Oregon’s heels.
“Oregon is my new No. 1, but Georgia is right at No. 2,” Iheanacho said. “I just love the whole dynamic, the whole Oregon campus, the practice fields, how the weight room is set up… It was straight up love when I got there. The equipment is great. That’s not the most important thing, but the equipment is great.’
Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami, Penn State, Tennessee, USC and Virginia Tech are also likely on his short list.
