Meet the new Gladiators! Jett Kenny joins Channel 10 reboot alongside muscle-bound cast including footy stars, CrossFit champions and a Hollywood stuntwoman

The cast of Channel 10’s upcoming Gladiators revival has been officially announced.

An official cast photo was released on Tuesday, confirming that Ironman and male model Jett Kenny, 29, would compete in the show against 11 other athletes, including several footy stars, CrossFit champions and even a Hollywood stuntwoman.

The cast photo is inspired by the aesthetic of the original 1990s Gladiators series and features the participants posing in shiny futuristic outfits, capes and bold makeup.

Jett, 29, the son of Olympian Lisa Curry and Ironman Grant Kenny announced the news by sharing the official news on his Instagram page.

Wearing a crop top, figure-hugging pants and a faux fur cape, the star showed off his athletic physique while also sporting some face paint.

Other cast members include former NRL star Sandor Earl, powerlifting champion Jaymii Morris, pro-athlete Harriet Roberts, bodybuilder and former Ninja Warrior Kwame Duah.

F45 trainer Blessings Chilufya also joins the cast alongside fitness guru Damien Rider, Hollywood stuntwoman Chanique Greyling and CrossFit champions Alethea Boon, Khan Porter and Katelin van Zyl.

Tatyanna Dumas, Australia’s youngest Ninja Warrior, rounds out the cast.

Earlier this month, Channel 10 announced that Gladiators will be hosted by Liz Ellis and Beau Ryan.

The show, which will air later next year, will see the sports personalities take on the role on the small screen.

Beau, who currently hosts the Amazing Race, said he was ‘extremely excited’ to take on the job of the iconic show.

“I am beyond excited to be co-hosting with the wonderful Liz Ellis,” he said.

“Liz is a national treasure, and we’re going to have a lot of fun. I grew up watching and loving it and can’t wait to get started with it. It’s going to be spectacular.’

Liz, who recently won I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, was equally excited.

“I’m super excited to be hosting Gladiators Australia with Beau, who is in the gym at the moment trying to match it up with our Gladiators,” she said.

“It’s an iconic franchise and I’m excited about the reboot,” she added.

“It will feature some of my favorite Gladiator challenges from the original series, as well as a few new ones that we can fall in love with!”

The Gladiators and Contenders skills are tested with obstacles such as Hang Tough, Duel, The Wall, Power Ball, Pyramid and The Eliminator.

It will be the ultimate test of speed, strength, endurance, agility and power.

The high-octane show, made popular in 1995 and 1996, found its home on Ten.

In addition to the Australian show, the BBC is also planning a reboot for British fans of the competitive series.

Some of the challenges in the reboot included Atlasphere, Duel, Gauntlet, Hang Tough and the Hit and Run appeared on the Seven show

The show was rebooted in 2008, but failed to find a steady audience.

The show was presented by Tom Williams and Zoe Naylor.

The show was filmed at The Dome at Sydney Showground, with challengers competing for $50,000 and a Subaru Forester.

The show featured some household names, including Zac Kozyrski as ‘Hunter’ and Jackson Mullane as ‘Outlaw’.

Female gladiators included Tiffiny Hall as ‘Angel’ and Olympian Tatiana Grigorieva as ‘Olympia’ in the show.
