An American teenage bodybuilder has surpassed Arnold Schwarzenegger's record, almost 57 years after the Austrian made his name.

Anton Ratushnyi beat Arnie's record by becoming the youngest professional bodybuilder in the world at the age of 19.

Ratushnyi won the national NPC division title last weekend, giving the youngster his 'pro card' as he earned the title of youngest Classic Physique professional.

In his victory post on social media, the teen superstar said: “Having overcome many adversities over the past year, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to believe in yourself and stay true to yourself, regardless of what others think of you.

'I'm so happy that I decided to pursue my true passion and not let negativity influence me.

He has built an impressive following on social media, with Insta full of flexing and bulking

He has already broken the record for youngest professional bodybuilder, held by Arnold Schwarzenegger

“I took the risk to prepare again and challenge myself mentally, physically and emotionally to not only succeed in bodybuilding, but grow as a person who would be worthy of inspiring this new generation.”

Concluding the post, he exclaimed, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your new youngest IFBB Classic Pro and the overall champion at NPC Nationals 2023.”

Ratushnyi has not received much media attention in his sport and remains relatively unknown despite his success.

He has worked hard for moments like this for four years to build his body as best as possible.

That's led to him gaining a following on social media – he now has 205,000 followers on Instagram, with plenty of flexibility on his page.

There have already been calls for the 19-year-old to take part in the Mr. Next year's Olympia tournament, including from Chris Bumstead, who has won the last five titles in the Classic Physique category.
