Speaking with Women’s DayDarren said family was always high on his priority list.
“Nothing is more important than my family,” he told the publication.
Darren, who married Olivier 13 years ago, has been part of Hugo’s life since he was one year old.
“He’s a lovely young man,” Darren added of Hugo, who welcomed Olivier, 51, in 2009 with a female couple.
Darren added that while he and Olivier share custody of Hugo, the teenager was an essential part of the family.
“We have our son with us a little less than half the time,” Darren explains.

Although he said the couple had found a good balance in their parenting, they would happily take on Hugo full-time.
“It’s a good balance, but we’d also like to spend all our time together as a family,” he explained.

The interior designer bought the luxurious property in 2015 together with Olivier and focused on its renovation.
