Generation Z has coined a new term of endearment for attractive men: “So babygirl.”
Although the true meaning of the name is hotly debated around the world, a man who is attractive with soft facial features and a cute look of vulnerability is among the criteria for being a baby girl.
“So Baby Girl” gained recognition when Jacob Elordi, 26, aka “Baby Girl of the Century,” discussed the term on Saturday Night Live, saying, “Me? I’m a girl.’
It comes on the heels of the Golden Retreiver man – fun-loving, loving and eager to please – but the versatile term “baby girl” is trickier to define.
According to the Urban Dictionary, the term “He’s so babygirl” is defined as: “A person (usually a woman) will say this about another person (usually a man) if he looks extremely attractive, but in a softer, lighter way .

And Elordi isn’t the only ‘baby girl’ type among us, but his Saltburn co-star Barry Keoghan, 31, has also been crowned one.
Fans of the eagle-eyed star will have noticed that the actor has bent the rules of masculinity when it comes to fashion, and Barry is often spotted in female-inspired outfits.
The ability to do so, he says, is another telltale sign of a “baby girl” Fashion.
The magazine explained that the creative industry has eliminated the idea that interest in fashion is effeminate. Instead, it is now considered ‘cool’ for men to wear elaborate styles.
And Keoghan isn’t the only “baby girl” rocking women’s runway looks — there’s also Timothee Chalamet and Harry Styles.
The One Direction star helped pave the way for the likes of Elordi and Keoghan, wearing dresses and blouses before anyone had even heard of the Saltburn stars.
Elsewhere, Jeremy Strong, 45, is placed under the same umbrella for his portrayal of Kendall Roy in the hit series Succession.

‘At this moment in our culture, people react to this either mockingly or empathetically.
He concluded, “It’s not my job to tell anyone how to respond to it, but there’s something about vulnerability that’s polarizing.”

The term encompasses men who are comfortable in their bodies and generally reject displays of toxic masculinity.
