Meet Donny Osmond’s five children – including Claim To Fame star son Chris

Donny Osmond is known for his career in music, acting, dance and even as a television host.

One of his children, Chris, has followed him into show business in the second season of the reality show Claim To Fame, where he finished third.

In the ABC series, contestants with famous blood go head-to-head as they try to deduce who they are related to.

Donald Clark Osmond Jr

Donny married his wife Debbie on May 8, 1978, with whom he has remained ever since, and they had their first son the following year.

Donald Clark Osmod Jr. was born on July 31, 1979, which was late enough not to get caught up in the chaos at the height of his father’s fame, six months after his and his sister’s show Donnie & Marie ended.

In 2016 he told The spectrum that “I’ve never actually seen the pinnacle of it, like the crazy fans throwing themselves against the stage.”

Far from the glitzy world of showbiz, Donny Jr. now his own marketing company, called OzComm.

However, he has followed his father to some extent by raising a large family which now consists of four children.

The marketing mogul married his wife Jessica in 2010 and their youngest was born on December 29, 2020.

Jeremy James Osmond

Jeremy James Osmond, the second child of Donny and Debbie, was born on June 8, 1981.

When Jeremy was 19, Donny revealed it The observer that his second son was something of a rebel, perhaps in response to his family’s name or beliefs.

He said, “I think a lot of the rebellion stemmed from him being my son – you know, this whole Osmond thing. He couldn’t stand the whole image of Osmond.

“That’s why when you’re forced to be something certain, you want to rebel: ‘I don’t want to be pigeonholed, I don’t want to be just another Mormon Osmond,’ you know.”

But Jeremy rebuilt bridges with his family after not speaking to his father for four years, even going on a mission to Italy in 2001.

He married a year later, and he and Melisa Osmond now have three children.

Jeremy is now in his 40s and works as the executive director at Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, following a career as a physical therapist that included owning his own practice.

Brandon Michael Osmond

The middle Osmond child is Brandon Michael, born January 29, 1985.

Just like Donny Jr. Brandon also talked about growing up with a famous dad Fox13 in 2022 about the bizarre moment when the Puppy Love singer picked up the phone with Michael Jackson in 2007.

“There was a point in my life when Donny Osmond and my dad crossed paths,” he said, “and it was really hard for me, because I had separated the two.

The Thriller icon had contacted Donny after his father died in 2007.

Brandon continued, “He closes it with ‘Thanks, Michael. That means a lot to me,’ and I realized that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, just called my dad, my dad didn’t call him.”

“For me it was very strange, because they collided. Donny Osmond and my dad were the same person now, and it really devastated me. It was really hard for me to see.’

But he grew up and Brandon now channels his creative DNA as a designer and photographer, as a creative director in Utah, while maintaining a passion for music and performing.

Like Donny Jr, Brandon has four children – all sons, like his father – with his wife Selby.

Christopher Glenn Osmond

Shortly after Donny’s 33rd birthday, Christopher Glenn Osmond was born on December 12, 1990.

From an early age, Chris was interested in performing – inspired by his father – and took piano lessons as a teenager before becoming a DJ as a teenager. He also studied post-production audio engineering.

That upbringing landed him a job at Disney in Burbank, California, but Chris has since released four singles between 2019 and 2023.

He made his most notable appearance in the public eye when he took part in Season 2 of Claim To Fame, which aired from June 2023.

Before finishing third, his fellow contestants had guessed that Chris was a relative of Elvis Presley, or Sir Elton John.

Donny herself was one of the show’s many fans, predicting that older viewers would “scream at the television” for the guesses gone wrong, in an interview with PEOPLE.

Chris is married and has children.

He and Alta Osmond, who married in 2017, have a daughter, Aussie – born December 2020 – and a son, Dune – born June 2023.

Joshua Davis Osmond

Donny and Debbie’s fifth and final son, Joshua, was born on February 16, 1998.

In 2018, Donny shared on Instagram that his youngest had spent the past two years serving as a missionary for the Church of Latter Day Saints, also known as the LDS or Mormon Church, in Italy’s capital, Rome.

‘A wonderful reunion in Rome!’ He wrote.

“After two years of valiantly serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Italy, our son Josh will return home with us for a family reunion. What a birthday! What a Christmas.’

Just over two years later, Josh married wife Summer in an intimate ceremony at their home, with the couple’s original plans thwarted by the Covid pandemic.

Josh told it Closer weekly that despite the changed plans, the service ‘turned out to be perfect’.

He added, “It made the whole day more personal and special. The wedding turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.’

How many grandchildren does Donny Osmond have?

In 2022, Donny Jr PEOPLE despite the fame, that family means everything to his father.

That means an increasingly busy life as a grandfather, adding two grandchildren in the following eighteen months, bringing the total to fourteen.

“My dad puts his family first, and he has unique ways of expressing that,” the singer’s eldest said, “like his orchard where every tree is dedicated to each of his grandchildren.”

“Besides entertaining, showing love is my father’s greatest gift, and he does it on a grand scale.”
