Medics cut off Grant Dubose’s jersey and cart him off field in a neck brace after horrifying injury
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant Dubose was taken to the hospital in a neck brace after suffering a terrifying head injury Sunday afternoon.
Medics rushed to help the stricken 23-year-old on the field in Houston, cutting off his jersey before putting him in a neck brace as teammates looked on.
The match was stopped for more than 12 minutes while medics worked on Dubose before he was taken off the field and taken to a local hospital.
The injury occurred midway through the third quarter when Calen Bullock made a brutal tackle on Dubose as he tried to catch the ball near midfield.
As Dubose grabs the ball, Bullock slams into his helmet from close range and Dubose then hits his head on the turf.
He lies motionless on his back when the ball is released, before players realize he is seriously injured and call for medics to rush to him urgently.
