A little-known ‘meat warehouse’ is saving Aussies a fortune on their grocery shops – and it’s top quality

Frugal Australian shoppers have discovered an ‘epic meat warehouse’ offering premium meats at lower prices.

United Meat Co in Strathfield, NSW, is gaining a reputation for its affordable, high-quality and bulk meat range – something that is in high demand as the cost of living rises.

Dozens of videos showing the massive warehouse sales, held weekly on Saturdays, have gone viral in recent weeks as more customers try it for themselves.

Those who enjoy Korean barbecue were among its fans, with many claiming the thinly sliced Wagyu is an unbeatable value.

“I save so much money,” said one woman.

“I go here once a month, it’s great,” said another.

“The marbling on that meat is insane,” one man said in the video.

Another woman said she buys the meat in bulk and freezes it to make the most of each visit.

But other people were less convinced about the meat market.

“I’ve been there, same price as Woolies,” said one man.

“It’s still too expensive for us,” said another. But the team at United Meat Co responded quickly.

“It’s the same price as Woolies, but much higher quality,” they said.

The company is known as one of the largest Wagyu wholesalers in Sydney.

Customers are advised to wear a jacket when they go to the warehouse, ‘it’s like walking into a giant refrigerator’.

In one video, warehouse staff claimed that their meat averages a quarter of the price of meat sold at retail.
