If you recently ate a prepackaged chicken salad or frozen meal from Trader Joe’s, Target, Walmart or Amazon, you may have listeria.

A nationwide recall has been issued for nearly 10 million pounds of meat, mostly chicken, used in ready-to-eat meals due to concerns about contamination.

The recalled items were revealed today in a 326-page list that also included prepackaged salads and frozen meals from Kroger, HEB and 7/11.

No illnesses or deaths There have been reports so far that they were linked to the meals, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) confirmed to DailyMail.com.

Many of the above chicken salads are being recalled due to concerns that they may be contaminated with listeria

The two products mentioned above, from Trader Joe’s, are also having certain lots recalled due to concerns that they may be contaminated with listeria

The recall was announced last week and affected products from Oklahoma-based BrucePac, which is behind many ready-to-eat meals.

The recalled foods have an expiration date for salads during this month, or until October next year, depending on the product.

Customers are advised to check the lot codes of their products to determine if they have been recalled. These codes are normally listed on the packaging. The full list of recalled products and codes is revealed here.

It is not clear how the ready-made meals became contaminated with listeria, but the bacteria may have entered the factory on a product such as an improperly washed chicken fillet.

During processing, the bacteria may have entered a machine and multiplied, with the machine spreading it to other chicken breasts.
