Sources familiar with the couple’s situation have told Daily Mail Australia that Ms Sullivan, the founder of popular skincare brand MCoBeauty, and her accountant husband split two weeks ago after a huge row.

According to the source, the couple was still living in their marital home at the time, a $76 million mansion called Leura in Bellevue Hill in Sydney’s posh eastern suburbs.

The source said the row prompted Mr Sullivan to leave the country for the United States, while his wife moved to the InterContinental in Double Bay – as the couple had originally planned.

The break in high society – which comes just seven years after the couple’s lavish Point Piper wedding – has shocked their wealthy social circle in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Daily Mail Australia understands Mr Sullivan has booked a flight back to Sydney early next week after learning the split had made headlines.

Meanwhile, the beauty mogul appeared distressed as she fielded calls from the balcony of her luxury hotel suite on Sunday.

Without makeup and dressed in casual winter clothes, Ms. Sullivan’s pearl wedding ring was noticeably missing from her left hand.

The source told Daily Mail Australia that the couple regularly stays and rents in hotels, despite their multi-millionaire status, because they couldn’t find anything they liked for around $40 million.

Neither of the Sullivans have commented on the split. The last time the couple was pictured together on Ms. Sullivan’s Instagram page was in March during a trip to Los Angeles.

Sullivan, 50, is celebrated as one of Australia’s most successful businesswomen.
