Weston McKennie says Cristiano Ronaldo joked his feet were worth ‘A BILLION Euros’ while the two were together at Juventus, as the American prepares to start life at Leeds United

Weston McKennie has revealed a hysterical Cristiano Ronaldo story from the pair’s Juventus days together, with the American midfielder set to embark on a new adventure at Leeds United.

McKennie and Ronaldo spent two seasons as teammates between 2020 and 2022, and the two seemed to strike up a light-hearted relationship when Ronaldo affectionately called him ‘Texas Boy’.

And the US midfielder has now revealed another example of the humorous relationship between him and his former teammate.

“I was getting a massage and I was walking around and I said, ‘My God, your feet look terrible,'” he recounted before being introduced in Leeds.

“He said: ‘Dude, these feet are worth a billion euros.’

‘I said, ‘you’re right, I respect.

While the striker’s assessment may have been wrong, there was actually some truth to his wry comment.

As Sportsmail wrote back in 2009, Real Madrid insured his legs for $111 million after a knee injury scared their star man.

McKennie’s days as Ronaldo’s teammate are over, but he should have a good laugh with his US teammate and longtime friend Tyler Adams, who has been in Leeds since last summer.

Americans Brenden Aaronson and manager Jesse Marsch are also at the club, who hope the talented No. 8 can help them avoid relegation.

Leeds United will hope McKennie’s midfield athleticism can keep them in the Premier League

McKennie’s US teammate Tyler Adams was on hand to welcome the new signing from Leeds.

Leeds agreed a loan with a payment option of $37 million for McKennie, 24, earlier this week. He will wear the number 28 jersey.

The deal also includes a $1.6 million loan fee.

15th-placed Leeds are just one point above the relegation zone and are winless in their last six Premier League games.
