Harry Judd revealed that he’s picked up a new hobby after “going completely broke” at the start of Celebrity Race Across The World.

The group all gave up their phones and credit cards in Marrakesh, Morocco, for a 9,000-mile race to Tromsø in Norway.

Harry revealed that he felt tense for most of the first episode and said he struggled with exhaustion at the first checkpoint in Pinhao, Portugal.

He told The mirror“We had a 20 minute zoom call with our families and I was completely devastated. I felt like I had never missed anyone so much. I really missed my wife. And I went to mom’s room and cried a little bit. She has brought out this tapestry she makes during the winter months. And she got one for me.’

The musician said it allowed him to focus his mind and he soon became “obsessed” with sewing.

He continued, “Mama called it ‘stitch and bitch.’ It was really therapeutic, so that’s my only advice (to anyone thinking about applying). Buy some carpet, it’s the new rock ‘n’ roll.’

Harry married violinist Izzy in 2012 and the couple have since welcomed three children: Lola, seven, Kit, five, and Lockie, who turns two in October.

He added to the publication that the 10-hour bus, train and ferry journey during the month-long TV show allowed him to reconnect with his mother after he suddenly left home and turned around at the age of 17. joined McFly.
