- A customer ordered one salt packet from McDonald’s via DoorDash
- The store employee recorded the moment she received the order and packaged it for collection
A McDonald’s employee has gone viral after packing an order for one salt pack for a customer, delivered via DoorDash.
TikToker Paige, who regularly posts about her job at the fast food chain, showed the moment the order arrived at the restaurant before she packed it.
After sealing the single salt packet in the bag, she placed it on the counter to be picked up by the food delivery person.
It’s unclear where exactly the strange order took place, but the video was posted on February 2 and has since been viewed more than 600,000 times on TikTok.
“And that will be $15.63,” said one commenter on the post, joking about the cost of a McDonald’s delivery order.
It’s unclear how much the customer paid for the packet of salt, but according to the restaurant’s page on DoorDash, there was no charge.

Others flocked to the post saying the same thing happened to them as Door Dasher and as a McDonald’s employee.
“This happened at our McDonalds, they ordered a syrup cup and we gave them everything but syrup like M&M’s and mini fries because they kept reordering,” someone commented.
Another said, “I accidentally ordered ten packs of hot sauce from Taco Bell last week, it cost $6.”
“I’ve ordered a cone before,” another admitted.
In June, another TikTok user, Jane, accidentally ordered two ketchup packets from McDonald’s and was charged a total of $8.66.
‘I thought I ordered a cheeseburger with two packets of ketchup sauce. And it was $8 and I thought that was good,” Jane said in one of her videos about the bizarre moment.
In another video, she picked up the small packets of ketchup and said she thought they were “feeling sorry” for her when employees gifted her with two more packets.
Jane said, “I can’t eat this!”

Paige, the content creator who posted the video of the lone salt packet, also posted another video about her job at the fast food restaurant.
In another video, she said her job involves making McDonald’s iconic fries “9 hours a day.”
“Live love McDonalds,” she captioned the video.
In another, Paige showed how she made churros from fried hamburger buns and sugar before handing them over to her colleagues to try.
It is unclear whether the person who ordered the salt pack had to pay a high price, as many food delivery apps charge for delivery and taxes depending on location.
According to McDonald’s page on DoorDash, there is a limit of three restrictions for all condiment packs and a limit of two for sauces and utensils.
“THAT WAS PROBABLY EXPENSIVE TOO,” said one commenter.
“I’m crying who needed salt so much,” said another.
