McDonald’s employees have revealed their worst customer stories — from a drive-thru customer who threw hot coffee at them to two men stalking a 15-year-old employee.
Fast food worker Aine asked her colleagues to share their nasty encounters while working at the restaurant.
The video of the university student from Virginia, who has more than 85,000 views on TikTok, McDonald’s gives diners a behind-the-scenes look at the overwhelming pressure and poor treatment employees often face.
And the clip has prompted other foodservice industry workers to share their own stories.

The TikTok video has been viewed more than 85,000 times and has united service workers in the food industry
Working her way through the kitchen, Aine asks her co-workers about their “worst customer story,” which opened up a barrel full of worms and emotions.
One of her colleagues, Emel, replied, ‘It was a man who threw hot coffee at me and said it wasn’t hot, but he burned my chest. So I don’t know how it wasn’t hot, but it was a fresh pot, dear.’
Colleague Ashley is asked the same question and she manages to keep a smile as she shares, “I took both lanes, ran and did fries and drinks, and this guy couldn’t wait a second.
“He went into the lobby and started yelling at me.”
She then gives two thumbs up.
Video narrator Aine responds with a sarcastic “nice.”
McDonald’s employee Ian recalls an awkward encounter where he was tickled.
‘I got my hand tickled once, I was smiled at… It was really scary,’ said Ian.

A colleague told of a stalking problem she faced when she was only 15
“Then a lady said I could be her Uber bag, which is really weird.”
Aine then replies, half laughing, “Okay, that’s nice.”
She then goes to her manager, Taya, who saw everything.
The manager quietly recounts a time when she cried at work because a customer was overly aggressive.
“Okay, this one time the guy made me cry on the phone, and then there’s the other time I wanted to explain to this guy how mobile orders work, but he didn’t believe me. This was in the drive-thru,” Taya explained.
“So he called his wife, who was at home, to talk to me on her phone, through the drive-thru, to yell at me how stupid I was and how I didn’t know how to do my job.”
Her last colleague opened up about a stalking problem she faced when she was only 15.
“My worst customer story is that these two guys came to the drive-thru in their 20s and I was 15,” she said.
“They came over and asked for my number, and I said, ‘No.’
Fellow food industry employees flocked to the video to add their own stories
“Then they came back and sat in the drive-thru, and didn’t leave until I gave them some personal information.”
The TikTok video brought fellow food industry service workers together as commenters flocked to the video to add their own stories.
“I work at McDonald’s. I worked fast food with customers there for a year – it’s definitely an experience,” said one person.
One follower responded to that comment by writing, “Literally just learning more about HOW PEOPLE ARE SO DIFFERENT… the attitude and boldness. Weirdness.’
“At McDonald’s for almost two years. I have so many stories,” read one comment.
Another comforted her fellow fast food workers, “We’re not victims, we’re survivors.”
Fans are asking TikTok creator Aine to make a part two with more stories.
And the maker promised to deliver.
