McDonald’s employee, 22, is arrested for shooting at customer after argument at drive-through window took a horror turn – as shocking surveillance footage shows her pacing with handgun

A Florida McDonald’s employee has been arrested after shooting at a customer following an argument at the drive-through window.

Chassidy Gardner, 22, of Lakeland, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Polk County Jail.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. at the McDonald’s branch on East Memorial Boulevard in Lakeland, east of Tampa.

The case began after a customer “felt his order was incorrect,” Lakeland police said in a statement.

Gardner, a McDonald’s employee, could be seen holding a gun during an argument

Gardner then got into an argument with the customers at the drive-through window.

Surveillance footage shows one of the customers reaching his arm through the window and throwing some items on the ground before throwing cups on the ground.

That led to Gardner throwing a drink at them just as they were leaving.

Two of the customers then got out of their cars and threw their own drinks full of ice back at Gardner.

But Gardner had brought a gun to work and could be seen pacing around the kitchen with the gun in her hand.

At least two other staff members were working in the kitchen, but they did not appear to do anything to discourage Gardner or tell her to put the gun away.

Gardner could then be seen leaving the fast food restaurant, still holding the gun

Gardner is still seen on surveillance footage walking out of the fast food restaurant with the gun in her hand.

Surveillance images clearly show Gardner walking out of the room complete with the firearm.

Officers say Gardner then fired the gun at the car as it drove away, with one of the bullets hitting the vehicle.

Gardner was arrested and taken into custody, but was released from jail the next day after posting $15,000 bail.
