Foodies have been left salivating at a woman’s McDonald’s hack she used to make her own loaded fries.

Lauren Griffiths, from the UK, combined pieces of a cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders with a large portion of fries and topped off the creation with sweet and sour and curry sauces.

Despite some of the ingredients she used not currently being available on Macca’s Aussie menu, the hack caught the attention of thousands of Australians.

The mozzarella sticks and curry sauce were last available in Australian restaurants for a limited time last July, but many are hoping for their return.

McDonald’s fans called Lauren’s loaded fries trick, which she tried and adapted after seeing it all over social media, “mouth watering,” as many were eager to try their own version.

What to order

  • Big fries
  • Double cheeseburger with extra pickles
  • Chicken McBites
  • Sweet-sour sauce
  • Big Mac special sauce

Method

  1. Pour large fries and chicken McBites into a container
  2. Separate the cheeseburger and scrape the onions, pickles, and sauce over the fries
  3. Break the two burgers into small pieces and add them to the container.
  4. Put the lid on the container and give it a quick shake to combine the fries, snacks and burger pieces
  5. Drizzle the two sauces on top and enjoy

“Then I got a double cheeseburger and I asked for extra pickles, so this is the moment of truth,” Lauren said before discovering she’d only gotten four slices of pickle.

She scraped the onions, sauce and pickles off the burger on top of the fries and broke the two patties into little bites.

“This looks phenomenal, look how good that looks,” she said.

Lauren then added chunks of the cheesy mozzarella sticks to the mix and closed the lid of the container to shake the fries and combined them with the sides and burger chunks.

Finally, she finishes the mixture with sweet and sour and curry sauce before tucking in.

“I can’t tell you how good this is, just amazing,” said Lauren who gave the meal a 10 out of 10.

“I can see why this trend is going all crazy because it’s crazy.”

Lauren’s loaded fries hack has been viewed more than 4.3 million times and left foodies scrambling in the comments.

“My mouth is watering,” one woman replied.

‘One thing I really miss from the UK is McDonald’s sweet curry sauce. We don’t have it in Australia,’ another said.

“Why have I never thought about this?” asked a third.

“I’ll try this with fries, Big Mac (cut into small pieces with scissors), nuggets, and guts Big Mac sauce,” a fourth wrote.
